No regrets buying the 300, we can't predict the future haha. And yea i'm sure 300 will retain value. Depends on if the 600 6.3 is better than the 300+2x TC and if so, how much better? And how will 600 6.3 handle a 1.4x TC. If it outperforms the 300+2x TC it'll be worth getting for me, low light be damned i'll just learn to live with 6.3 since i won't keep both lenses. I still regret selling 600f4, but maybe not so much anymore haha? I've gone out way more times looking at birds in the last year, vs with 600f4.

Maybe sony sees the future and can see less demand for big primes? To me, it wouldn't make sense for sony to make the big primes with built in TCs.
