If I understand your question correctly, compressed HQ is lossless compressed, as opposed to lossy compressed or regular. As I understand it, compressed HQ stores faster in camera, but takes longer to open in raw converter — I’ve not noticed any significant difference between them, but I don’t shoot a lot of high speed capture and I have a relatively fast Mac Studio I process on.
