I have CFE Type A cards 480-640GB of various brands (Lexar, OWC, Protograde, Delkins Black, Sony Tough), and the speeds are all virtually the same. Are you getting more buffer depth with some particular card than others?
I use capture one and lossless compressed raw.
I did store a setting in *3,4,5 etc
When I store, I see on the first page raw (card1) and jpg (card2)
That's OK
But now I scroll down by using the arrows at the bottom...
And then I see suddenly the setting "Compressed HQ"
Strange, can someone explain please

If I understand your question correctly, lossless compressed raw is the base option and what it describes, as opposed to compressed HQ or compressed, both of which are lossy. As I understand it, compressed HQ stores faster in camera, but takes longer to open in raw converter and may suffer in shadow detail. Compressed is apparently the lossiest and may show color problems as well as lower shadow detail.

Speaking for myself, I only have used one brand of CFxA. In my old system that used CFxB, there was significantly better performance from the 2nd gen faster cards. I understand Sony cams are still limited to ver2 speeds which IIRC is around 800-900 mb/s, so you probably won’t notice much difference between older V2 cards and newer V4 cards.

Sure. I thought you had some way to improve the throughput. As deeply flawed as the a7rVI is, it's still better than the a7rV. I'm going to halt all plans for Sony gear until there some clarity about the new RAW format which is likely in other new bodies as well.
Some one give me the push I need to order the A7R6 . I do portrait, event, media day. A1 for my sports body. Not really a wildlife photographer.
I'm having major regrets selling my 7R5 and it hasn't even been delivered to its new owner. I might just buy back on the BST. Oops.
So many compromises with the R6 that it's making the decision very difficult for me. Same recycled garbage rear screen for example.... Do the new battery grips still feel light an after thought on these? Is wireless tethering improved at all?

Just do it. I am 98% certain you will firstly be glad you did, and secondly be glad you sold your A7R5 before they depreciated another $500. I’ve only had mine a few days, but so far it’s been quite compelling.
Yes. Took my kids to surf camp in Jax and to see my parents and drive up for a quick sunset /sunrise. I’d never been even though I grew up only an hour and a half south of there. Will definitely go back.

Your post seems a bit odd. Why should anyone try to convince you to buy anything? Buy it yourself, or rent it and decide for yourself if you want to keep it. How many pages of A7Rvi options are there on this site alone?

There’s nothing about the A7R6 that is worse or more compromised compared to your A7RV you are regretting selling. Even the list price came in the same as when A7RV was released when adjusted for inflation, and is available on our b&s board new for a $500 discount.
Many folks had an incorrect perspective and expectation - the A7R6 was never designed to be an A1II, it is exactly what all R series before have been - a machine focusing on resolution and dynamic range first and foremost, but now the electronic shutter is 5x faster than the A7RV which is making it usable for nearly everything I shoot, the DR in mechanical shutter for the few who really demand it is so high it eclipses the Fuji GFX at lower ISOs, the new battery life is truly amazing, the EVF is brighter and HDR capable, the IBIS is improved, the Auto WB is improved, AF is improved, the grip is slightly better, you now have button illumination or customize it to whatever you like as an additional button the A7RV doesn’t have, a small but for me noticeable and usable increase in fine detail capture, and I’m sure more I’m forgetting.
No camera body is perfect, not from any brand. I still wish Sony bodies had more space between lens mount and grip fingers. But the A7R6 is the best R series Sony has ever produced, and more versatile than before. Many of the improvements are small but they add up, and it’s overall a big win for me. But I’m not a sports or BIF specialist - if I were I’d own the best tool for that which would be A1II or A9III.
The rear screen works for me for how I use it with zero issues (I always use the EVF for critical evaluation of my shot frames due to the diopter adjustment and the gorgeous fine detail). The new battery grip fits like a glove and is the most comfortable I’ve used out of numerous Nikon and Canon battery grips I owned (I have not been able to take the grip off even for walkarounds, it fits my hand so well). With the dual batteries I’m getting 1 to 2 weeks between battery charging, it’s insane.
The A7RV is still an extremely capable machine also, and at the $2100 or so used selling prices it’s a tremendous value for those who don’t desire more than what it offers.

Just to add, there was a known problem well documented on multiple forums where some Sony battery grips did not fit well on some A7RV bodies (Sony acknowledged this to some customers and said it a was a part out of spec). I was one who had this issue and there was a pretty large gap where the grip did not meet the body. Thankfully Sony resolved it for the R6 and the grip cinches up nice and tight against the body and feels very solid. It feels better for my grip than the Z9 I used to shoot.

Same! I removed it from my R5 and put it on my A1, fits much nicer.
Thanks for pointing out the positives. I'm sure I'm going to love it for everything I do, and the added benefit of the improvements means the usability is expanded, regardless of my complaints and nitpicks

This is a pretty good deal with battery grip and 2nd battery:
Finally got around to loading some of the falcon sequence. You can see the extent rolling shutter distortion will affect images - check the pole lean in the first few images as I start panning to follow the falcon.
However, even with the reeds in the background it is not really visible in the later frames - note that the lean they do have is the opposite direction to what RSD would give - and mostly probably due to the wind at the time, reduced slightly by RSD.
These are lossy compressed raw - so perhaps slightly faster readout than lossless raw.
