It was a old creamery. The dairies nearby would haul milk there. The last dairy nearby closed in 1980 (it was an anachronism even then). I took the photo standing on the street where I live (actually next door to my house). The owner still uses it for storage.
Lompoc, CA. About an hour north of Santa Barbara. It is about 8 miles from the coast. I scouted the area for the assignment. It was flat, gray light. Shucks, I went back to my house. 10 minutes later, I could see the sun!
