'Not sure that I'm ready for the exalted Zeiss thread based on the quality of posts there!'
Have no doubts on that front, please - many people here are tough markers, but most would be very happy to have shot these themselves. The photo threads are a life saver when you tire of the hot air we expel around here, lol. People may not give direct feedback, but that means nothing in itself, as creativity and craft are not popularity contests - thank god.

Not a lens, but I hit buy it now on a package with the Contax Auto Tilt/Shift Bellows, Contax Focusing Rail, Contax Slide Copier, Contax Macro Stand, plus a Zeiss Ikon Contarex focusing rail, all in mint condition with original boxes, for €200, which I thought was a very good deal. Getting ready for some serious macro work.

Rollei 60/3.5, bought from another FMer who gave me an unbelievable price, for which I accepted the possibility that the shutter may die I am really looking forward to trying this one out (and hope the shutter won't die).

It's an RMS microscope (threaded mount) objective with a WD of about 10cm when mounted on my 52mm RMS to M42 cone adapter. The RMS cone adapter, plus the required M42 adapter, plus the µ4/3 flange distance gives me low distortion full coverage at about the same magnification as the objective is rated for. So a 4x objective gives me 4x over my sensor.
Objectives like this are extremely shallow so they're typically best used with focus stacking techniques. Typically a rig something like this: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/780820/4#8737835 which I've built a few of already. However with the GH2's 40fps burst mode I'm wondering and hoping that I'll be able to create hand held stacks by holding down the shutter button and moving the camera slowly toward or away from the subject - so far untested.
I think this particular CZ objective is between 1.5x and 2x... I haven't measured yet and there are no markings.

FD 85-300/4.5, waiting for M4/3 adapter. Lens looks very nice and clean, smooth zoom, focus and aperture rings.
and an EOS to M4/3 adapter -- should have done this much earlier! Now all my Samyang, Leica, Zeiss lenses are useful on the M4/3 platform! That's like a new pile of found Alt lenses!

100/2 ... no slouch there either.
Reasonable to expect the 90/2 macro is optimized for the mfd side of things ... is the 100/2 optimized for portrait or infinity ... could be a sweet 1-2 combination. Although they are both sweet no matter what.

nice. Do you think the lenses are different enough that you will get good use out of both?
Not sure, the same thought crossed my mind. I am not even that fond of this focal length to begin with, so most likely the macro will be the one with the most use.
I had the chance and ended up with both and had the 100 a few years back and did not put it to use so I picked it up just to see what it could do.

It's here . . . but now I need that NEX adapter!
Trying to decide whether to keep for the NEX or adapt for EOS. I have G 45/2 for the NEX and the Zeiss 50MP for the 5D3. I think it could fill a fun niche on both. Thoughts?
