I just completed my XPan kit for now. Unfortunately (kinda...) I managed to pick up the 45/4 and 90/4 first, and then I found an XPan+45/4 kit for a good price, so now I have two 45s. The one which came with the camera has a sticky aperture ring, so I will clean that up and then sell one of them. I am very excited to be shooting a real panorama setup, and have fired off a few shots already, on Tri-X.
I have also recently completed my initial MFT kit: E-PL3, 12/2, 25/1.4 and 45/1.8. I had to leave my D800 purchase for sometime later this year to get these two sets, but that's okay, there appear to be some glitches with that anyway.

I'll be excited to see those scans, Carsten. The XPan is on my "eventually" list, hopefully while film is still manufactured.
My latest- a Rokkor 58/1.2. I've been looking for an unconverted copy, but it seems that most of the ones worth converting have already been converted. When inquiring about the Minolta mount copies I could find, sellers were Python-esque in their responses. "It's got some separation in the front, but not much," "Yeah, it's decentered, but it's a portrait lens so I don't see that as a problem," and, "I would've rated it a 10+ except for the four gouges in the rear element, so I gave it a 9." I did find one in pristine condition this weekend (box and everything), but the guy wanted a collector's price for it. So took one out of the Canon pile and will change it over to Alpha.

I think film will be manufactured for a long time, but not as we know it. Fuji has just raised their prices, and I would be surprised if we still have Kodak films one year from now. The banner will be carried by companies like Ilford and Efke. Small, specialized companies who know how to squeeze a little profit from a small market.
p.70 #6 · What is your most recent (alt) lens purchase?
Yup, good point, although I wouldn't know where to put it. Maybe I should just load up my freezer, since we don't use it much. I need to do lots of testing first though. I know I like Efke/Adox CHS 25, I know I like Tri-X, but I need to pick a colour film, probably slide, and I need to test lots to make sure that my choices are right. Then I might drop 1000-2000 Euro into film if it should ever start looking dicey with future availability.

My comment was more about the length of my "eventually" list than how long I think film will remain in production, but I agree with what you're both saying.
I think there's a product idea here. Low humidity film freezers with built in and upgradable UPS. The market would be finite, but I'm thinking we could charge whatever we wanted.

Sigma Apo Macro 180/5.6,Planar 50/1.7 MM C/Y,Zuiko 50/1.4 MC,Tamron adaptall SP 28-80/3.5-4.2,Minolta MD 50/1.7,Yashica 200/4 ML C.Apart from Sig 180/5.6 Apo Macro pretty mundane stuff so no photos.
Edit: And a couple of hours later I've found out that the lens sucks infinitely on my NEX-5N. Not what I expected, but I'll wait with the judgement until I've tried it on film.
The camera is just like an M6 without metering. Perhaps a bit quieter shutter and smoother operation. Very nice!

I just hope color films keeps going.
I like color films.

Don't forget the portable "gear coolers" for automobile use!
I'm thinking of trying one of those that cool and heat with dedicated marine batteries.

That's surprising to hear Martin. My experience on my NEX-5N and M8 shows it performing very well at or near infinity... Nice camera BTW. I actually was considering buying one of these locally the othe day. Problem is I don't want a camera again without metering...

Okay, I was kidding about the film freezers, but this is actually a good idea for shooters who work out of their vehicles. A portable container that could act both as secure storage with temperature and humidity control. We could make it look like an ordinary Igloo-style cooler.

At what aperture? It seems to be a nice lens from ~f/2 and on, but I'm not buying an f/1.2 lens for stopped down use and it's very heavy compared to the 35/2 offerings. Spherical aberration is terrible wide open and I actually don't find any "magic" at all on APS-C.
The camera is fantastic though! It's essentially an M6 without metering, which isn't a problem if you shoot B&W film and have a handheld meter in your pocket. Plusminus one stop is alright with modern films, which makes metering not-so-important.

I purchased a ZE 35/1.4 from a forum meber recently. I have only taken a few shots with it so far, as I have been relegated to shoveling dirt and rocks lately
Nice lens though! I think it will replace my 35L, not sure yet.

I nabbed the:
MC Tele Rokkor-QF 200/3.5
Auto Tele Rokkor-PF 135/2.8
MC Macro Rokkor-QF 50/3.5
MD Rokkor 50/1.4
Yesterday and they're all very good! I shot about 50 shots with each except the 50/3.5 Macro - which I shot about 300 with. I like it. It's rather unique for a 50mm macro - high contrast, low flare, yet with a LARGE glow falloff around bright objects and a half decent bokeh. I guess it could just need cleaning though.

I'm thinking the macro is great, does it have the rubber focus ring or metal? I found my metal version to flare worse than my 58/1.2, although I have not used them together.
