So the Schneider got here, seems like a very nice lens. I was going to put it through its paces on a photo tour this weekend, but it was just cancelled, so now I am wondering what I will do instead. I have almost no time to research it, since I was going to leave tomorrow after work and spend Saturday shooting until dark, and then return home. Hmmm...

Well, the D800 and A7 were already good cameras, so in the technical sense probably not. There should be lots of things to see within a 4 hour radius by train, however, it is just a question of finding it in time...

It may be time to get a dart and a map and take your chances.

I am in Goslar Near the Harz mountain range, and with an attractive but compact inner core with a Weihnachtsmarkt, I hope to get some good shots. Today, however, it was cold, dark and raining... I had a steak and two Köstritzer.

I got the trio in good condition for something like $2400 which is well below eBay prices I think.
Yeah, that's well below eBay prices for sure. That's pretty much exactly what I'd say the set is worth.

Current eBay prices for that trio vary from about $2630 in [E] to [E+] condition, to about $4150 in [M-] condition.
Can you comment on your eBay strategy? Do you have some kinds of alerts? Google searches? Non-US eBays? Even when I wait patiently I never find prices as low as your database. For example I've been checking that 125 periodically for over a year and I don't think I've ever seen it below $2000, regardless of condition (usually closer to that $2630, just by itself). Add $1200-$1400 for the 180, and $2630 for the trio is way below anything I've seen.

The Recordak intrigued me (never seen or heard of one before); a 4 lb/1.9 kg micro file recording lens with a weird dotted filter in one end. I will probably nerver be able to mount it to my camera, but at least it looks nice
