The lens has a mixture of lateral and longitudinal CA. The lateral part does of course not go away as the lens is stopped down, only the longitudinal part.
Sharpness is subjective. The lens is no match for the ZF 2/135.

on a whim, I pulled the trigger on a Minolta 24/2.8 to fill a gap between 14 & 35 in time for christmas.
it's my second time owning this lens, but this time I opted for the RS version. it's a nice, small and light but it ain't gonna win any IQ awards, and I wish it was faster for available light portraits.

As I have already mentioned, I have my new in like new Condition Contax (C/Y) 21mm f2.8 Distagon MMJ in hand. Unfortunately my Novoflex Contax to NEX adapter has yet to show up on USPS Tracking since December 17 and is the only one of 3 packages shipped from the seller that day that has not shown on tracking; it could be lost and at this point and I can't mount the lens onto my A7r. We can't start a trace until January 5; I should have just gotten this from B&H.
On a happier note, my Leica R 28mm f2.8 Elmarit V2 has made it through Customs in NYC; hopefully I will have the lens on either Thursday or Friday.

Bought a Vivitar (Komine made) 28/2 Close Focus, it's ugly as pond slime but boy, crazy IQ ! This is just the very first shot I pulled with it, amazed by the background blurring ability AND sharpness of this baby. I've nicknamed it "ugly Betty", lol...

Picked up a Fuji 23/1.4 today. I had reviewed it earlier this year and it was the second ~35mm FOV lens I'd used recently that I really liked. I'd never been a huge fan if the 35mm AOV, but I'm liking it a lot more now and so I'm excited to put it to real use.

Panasonic 8/3.5 fisheye - used from the local pro shop. Was able to test it out and it appeared to be excellent optically (i.e., sharp and well centered).
Building a m43 kit for times when my D800 + FX glass is too big and heavy and I can take the IQ hit.

Thanks - it is a gorgeous little lens, my favorite OM so far. I don't personally have a 21/3.5 but based on what I've seen posted the f/2 is at least as good at f/4 and obviously much better at f/2 and f/2.8...
Does it have similar rendering to the ZF 85 @ f/2?
We can't start a trace until January 5; I should have just gotten this from B&H.
