I purchased my very first Zeiss lens recently. The Zeiss ZE 21/2.8. To say I'm blown away is an understatement. This will not be the last Zeiss lens I buy because I now have Zeiss fever bad! I can think of three more to buy without any convincing. The bank account is the only and biggest limiting factor.
Welcome to the club, you started with one of the best!

There can be only Roland SH/TB/TR series, Korg MS20, Jupiter 8 and Yamaha DX7
But coming from the land of Richard Bartz and Robert Görl you should know that already!

Boy, are you in trouble...
I know I'm in trouble. But, it's a good trouble.
First I have to start shedding a few lenses I don't use to make room and provide some needed funds for the next round of Zeiss purchases. The first to go will probably be one of my favorites and first "L" lens, my 16-35L II.

Meyer 50m f/1.8 Oreston. Just a blip over $100 and so much fun. It has the fun onion bokeh. It has a pleasant diffuse halo that is very flattering for portraits wide open. Sharpens nicely as you stop down.

My most recent alt lens purchase? Totally brand new Contax Sonnar 2,8/85 MMG. The last batch of about 1,000 made in Germany mid-2000s, just before they canned the C/Y line.

Prepare to be ecstatic, mogud.
I went a little nuts in the buyer's market over the summer, but the FD 500L will be my last lens purchase for a while. I've got way too much glass, so the winnowing will begin shortly after the a7r's arrival.

Small spending spree is right LightShow and I thought I was bad.
Well, the Zeiss ZE 100/2MP has been put to a small test over the weekend and a wet weekend at that. Boy, I thought the ZE 21/2.8 impressed me. The ZE 100/2 MP is unbelieveably sharp and it sure does have that Zeiss "pop". I'm very ecstatic.
I'm unsure what's next after this combo. The ZE 21/2.8 and ZE 100/2 MP are hard acts to follow. Any suggestions from te Zeiss specialists?

I'm close to the end of my buying, as I posted above, the FD SSC 55/1.2 and 85/1.2will likely be my last FD's.
I have 3 more Topcor RE lenses to get, 2 more Nikkor AI lenses, 1-2 more Leica M lenses at some point, a longish OM(85 or 100).

Congrats, getting a set of primes that elevate your IQ to the next level is a great feeling.

The 35's are good, the camp seems split on which 50 to get, I'd browse the the Z* lens thread looking for pics you like and tally the winners up.
