bif pics of the lens please. I was just looking for a tiny macro last night.
The Oly 38/2.8 macro is designed to be used on bellows or on the 65-116mm telescopic auto tube. It doesn't have a focusing helicoid of its own. Not the tiny macro you are looking for.

It does have a focusing helicoid - doesn't it? I think it even says so in the page I linked to. Mine has a focusing ring at least. It just doesn't do infinite focusing is all. It's a dedicated macro lens. It can also be used with or without extension. My images so far have been without extension.
I'll play with it more and let ya know what I find out.

Hmm, pretty weird...
The helicoid moves the front assembly about 2mm and seems to zoom a little at the same time... But besides that 2mm of movement it doesn't alter the focus.

What the heck?
That 2mm of movement gets to be a pretty huge amount when you have the macro lens mounted out on a bellows at 5x-20x magnification (in the range it is primarily meant to be used). I suspect the 2mm movement is meant just to be an extra, convenient way to smoothly fine-tune the exact focus placement after getting close enough with bellows/extension tube/macro rails adjustments.
