Whoa, you're THAT Andr vredal! Dunno why I didn't make the connection. I'm greatly looking forward to your film hope we get a release in Australia!
Dan, Paul! You know about the film! That´s great! It will for sure come to Australia, I just don´t know if it will be in the cinema or only on DVD. In the US it is coming to cinemas in a couple of months, no date set yet though.
Oh by the way, there are shots in The Troll Hunter with 7D, 5D2 and 1Dmk4 :-) No alt lenses though as far as I recall...
(OK - I feel guilty now - gotta keep the thread on topic )
Despite being shocked by the size of this thing, I can´t wait to hear what first users think. I have no less than three 35/1.4s (AIS, Contax and Canon) and can for sure use one more. I still have to get my hands on their 85/1.4...

so looks like we're talking another month.
"limited edition"? The use of "edition" instead of "quantity" or something alike makes me wonder whether there will be some sort of special edition available. Any info on this? Maybe one of those arrrrrr-looking gold-plated ones?

Daniel! I hope so :-) This is what I have been doing for the last year and a half:
Not been able to take so many photographs during this time, but will pick it back up now :-)
I love monster movies, and this looks like lots of fun. Is there a way to get updated on the American release, Andre?
OT: The samples from the Samyang look promising. Between this, the Zeiss 35/1.4, the X100, the possible Zeiss 24 for the NEX, and the unsubstatiated but persistent rumor that Canon has an updated 35L in the works for a late year release, it's shaping up to be a great time for my favorite focal length (actual and effective).
looks like it has low micro-contrast wide open but amazing bokeh, much creamier than my 35 1.4 Distagon at medium distance (looking at the 2nd street light picture). What do you think?
Difficult to say without any competitor on the same image. Resolution is very good. Micro-contrast, difficult to say. But I prefer to not judge without any reference.

Hi! Hope you will like it! I am doing a whole round of film festivals in the US at the end of April - LA, SF, Boston, NY. I assume the film will be in the general cinemas at that time. But I have not gotten any confirmation from Magnolia/Magnet, the US distributor, yet. I expect a small, but nationwide release.
