Love this one, great shot! What's a Jupiter-3?
thanks! a jupiter-3 is a soviet made copy of the old zeiss 50/1.5 sonnar lens (the one the zm 50/1.5 memorializes). the build quality is not near as good as the old zeiss lenses (or new) but optically they are identical with the unique sonnar look. a ton of them were made so they can be found for €100 now. most importantly, they are tiny. here's a shot of the lens on my NEX: http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6179/6174592050_b960db1e5c_o.jpg
Last day of beautiful fall colors with the snow background.
Hot days are back in the Sierras and it's over.
Unforgettable experience. Got really lucky last few days,
first a storm in Death Valley, now this amazing display
All images taken with CV 125, Leica R 60 and Contax 1.4/35

Thanks, looks like a very interesting piece of glass for the NEX!
THat is a superb lens. I was just in Berlin (we drank to your health, Boris!, meaning your full return to perfect health) with the very capable Heinz (Morfeus), and the pics are gorgeous. Providing there is talent behind the lens, of course!

Wow, the shots on the last couple of pages are excellent! Andrew, just curious, you have a pic showing what the CV 125 looks like on the NEX?
It's pretty much the same size as Zeiss 2/100 MP, but it extends quite a bit.
I have just picked up a Contax G 28mm lens. Still waiting for the adapter to arrive. However I am still not sure if I need to cut the rear "legs". I have seen few of you using this lens here. Did you cut it? I am not sure if I just go ahead to try, will I damage anything on the camera if indeed cutting is necessary. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on your new camera and lenses, wstam! Nice work with the ZM 18mm. I am getting close to convincing myself that I need one...
And, no, I did not need to cut off the legs off my Contax G 28mm. The 21 protudes more, and that one is a very tight fit. The one that doesn't fit at all is the G 35-70 zoom, and apparently (according to Conurus), simply cannot be made to work on a NEX
