Thanks Heinz! As nobody has done it yet, it would be nice if you brought your NEX for our meeting. Then we could publish a comparison of NEX 3/5, C3 and 5N RAWs. To the best of my knowledge, no comparison between the two generations of NEX has been published yet.
It would also be an opportunity to compare your Leica 60 Macro and the Contax C/Y 35-70.

errm, I wanted to travel light and only bring my M2 with one lens.

I am joking, off course, Philippe. As always I will most probably bring my whole household, will have the Nex-3 with me, and off course the Macro-Elmar. We can easily make the comparison in the Fleischfabrik or earlier on that day.

When are you flying back, Philippe?

Oh, yes, I forgot that you want to be back for church, sorry. So we will have to compare on Saturday.

Christian, how do you control aperture on your NEX when using the Canon lens?

Ok, but thanks for a good idea then. After an afternoon with google I realized the the IQ apparently is very good. And also, it's a very beautiful lens (and compact), things like that counts too

Voigtländer seem to have an impressive lineup - and native NEX mounting too. Well, I better get the camera and do some shooting before I make additional moves. I will come back.

Unfortunately you can't in an appropriate manner right now. All shots have to be wide open unless you unmount the lens from a canon body with the aperture you want while on AP mode. I shot all wide open at 2.8

Be careful with Voigtlaender! Some of the lenses are really absolutely great, but some are, errm, to be nice: medium

Nice set, Loosh! BTW, it would be nice to know what lens(es) you used in 2, 3 and 5. And the camera body as well... we are nosy, aren't we?

Found a NEX-5 body locally for $200, loving it so far. Have a Voigtlander 40mm 1.4 in the mail right now.

Taken with a F-mount Voigtlander 40mm f2:

Thanks for the positive feedback, I was pretty excited once I saw the shot on the LCD. I re-edited the post with lenses, but all of the rest (except #4) were taken with the ZM 35 2.8.

These are all beautiful images. Anyone care to help me make some choices. I just got the 5N and would like to get some new glass for it.
Any options for an ultra wide that does not color shift? I have the Sony 16mm, anything wider than that?

would also like a 35mm equivalent but I think that might be best to just wait and see what this new 24mm Zeiss is like.

Which brings me to the middle ground something in the 40mm-75mm 35mm equivalent. I have a Zeiss 35mm ZF lens but it is quite big on a 5N.

Any of the Voigtlanders maybe the 35 1.4 or the 40 1.4? The Zeiss 35mm F2 ZM? Summicron 35mm? Summicron 50mm?

I've always wanted Leica glass so it is very tempting.

On the longer end something in the 100-150mm equivalent 35mm range. I have a Zeiss 100mm MP ZF lens, again amazing glass but big on a 5N

Any good options on a replacement for this lens?

I am seriously considering selling off most of my Nikon glass and going rangefinder size.

You will not be the first one Also after the amazing new mirrorless cameras Nikon
presented, I would run, not walk...
Seriously, many people are switching to NEX. Many serious photographers are.
And the NEX-7 will only accelerate that process.
Just one advice: if you have some good MF glass, keep it, even if you think it's big.
You might appreciate the quality and it's not like you always have to "travel light".
