Beautifull pictures of peonies.I am also busy around blooming peonies, which i like more than very much.Even managed to publish a few recent pictures of them here and there
Apellation Macon-Fuisse must be recently created,as I have never heard about it.Anyways - Macon is located in Historical Northern Burgundy and the wines from there are usually good - with proper care very good. My favorite flavours from there are Mersault (white and red), Mercurey (red) and classic old Pommard (red). It's been a year now that I can't buy Pommard anywhere, which makes me not amused.
P.S I still keep an empty Pommard bottle from 1928.I opened it a few years ago,but it was not tasty at all.

We celebrate very special occasions with a bottle of Meursault (it's expensive here, typically $60 or more per bottle, much cheaper in Europe). We also really enjoy Bourgogne Aligoté, which is very good and much more affordable.

Mersault is not cheaper in Europe.Neither in France (winemaker's direct sales and big supermarkets, even in Bourgogne region),where the bottle of good red by good/respectable maker sells for about the equivalent of 70-90 USD,nor in Poland, where I have to pay 90-100 USD per bottle.
Aligote is ok for dinner, but,as Italians used to say, vino fa cibo,so one doesn't need an expensive wine to enjoy a meal with wine. Also, there are a lot of excellent, really great wines made by ambitious winemakers that can be bought for moderate amount of many as soon as the World will find out how good those wines are.
I am a little bit spoiled wine freak,I know, but I simply LOVE a taste of very good wines,so I usually spend too much on them.
Thanks Peire, I love being around my gardens and all my flowers! It's so relaxing and beautiful!
