Mike M. I really like the lighting in the pictures of evening ride. The back lighting on the left side of your wife(?) really separates her from the background.

Moonrise was finally late enough out here in CA to go out and shoot some stars this weekend. Here's a shot from Big Sur:

Nice shot! What lens did you use if I might ask?

A quick one from a recent Senior Photo Session here in Omaha. This was a great kid to work with. I've primarily gotten used to just carrying the A6000 with the 50mm 1.8 on these. It has been working great, especially if you use the manual focus to really make the eyes pop.

Prairie grass is everywhere right now! I used the 16mm 2.8 lens for this. It has been a little inconsistent for me? Some images have a 'ghosting'. Some don't? I like the focal length and physical size of the lens with the A6000, just need to get if figured out better.

It's been a while since you have posted this, hopefully you have figured out how this lens works best for you. For me, I have found that ghosting noticeably improves at f/5.6. f/2.8 is usable in some circumstances, f/4 is a bit better...but by f/5.6 things have improved noticeably. I don't really use this lens any more as I have found that it just isn't my preferred FL and I am not satisfied with the sharpness/resolution. Typically I just stitch images with my Canon FL 55mm f/1.2 if I need to go wide.

Thanks for the reply. I still am having some hiccups with this little guy. I love the physical size of the lens and the 24mm field of view. Works great in conjunction with my 35 1.8. Those two in a small bag and I can cover a wedding really easy. I just can't figure out what is causing a very random 'ghosting' in my images. I do shoot wide open for the most part, so that might be the issue? If it was a 'shooting into the sun thing', I could find a good work-around, but it appears even in good light sometimes. Thanks for your interest!

I would observe where the light is coming from when you are seeing the ghosting. It might just be an issue with strong back/side lighting.

Austin,

I may have figured out some of the issue. There was a very light haze on the front element, that had to be very strongly cleaned off. I had a couple of images today, early, that demonstrated this. And then after the cleaning, it did seem to help a lot. I will post a couple pics this evening to demonstrate.

Sergey,

What lens were you using with this? Has a very 'full-frame' look to it! Nice work.
