Harry, nice work with both images.

Hi Dave.
Thanks, appreciated. My 35 F1.8 from B/S arrived this afternoon. Hope to use it some tomorrow. In the home, up close it doesnt seem very sharp, have to compare it with my other lenses before i condem it.

Need guidence here. I took a test shot with the 35 F1.8 lens, upon review, enlarging the image, the camera put a cropped portion of it on the media card ? The rear screen showed a crop sign and the word, Auto . What happened ?

Test shot.

Wow. A lot of changes to Busan (or Pusan as we knew it) when I visited several times in the late '70s with the Navy.

absolutic, looks like you guys had a blast! That pool looks very fun. Great travel set up with the 16-50 and sigma 60. I think the 16-50 gets a bad rap because it is a "kit" lens. With the in-camera processing, I think it is a very solid performer. This one is from Saturday during an engagement session. I used the sigma 60 on all my sessions this weekend, it is a very solid portrait lens. Really happy with it.

WOW!! What you did to this image? Can you share?

Harry, yes, you need to turn off the 'Auto Crop' mode. I do think the camera may default to that if you are in the Auto settings. I only shoot in manual, but I know that one time I put it in Auto to let someone else use my camera and it did this.

ouuzi, Nothing really special with this image. I did bump the 'clarity' setting in Lightroom a bit more than usual.

Jorge,

Great job of isolating your subjects! The crocodile is just a touch too close for me! Great action shot with the water fight!

nope. just the naked 50 1.8. I did use dmf for some of the shots, to make sure the eyes are in focus.

I just received the Sigma 30mm 2.8 from my awesome UPS driver. I can tell this is going to be a great set up already. I like having the Sigma 19, 30 and 60 all in one bag. Nice knowing they are all the same aperture and should help the workflow. This is just a quick sample from the backyard a few moments ago. Looks sharp enough! I have another senior session this afternoon, and will try and get it some real world use today.

With that woman, you could probably use a real beercan and it would still make a lovely shot
