Love the mood in this shot, Kalainen- what did you shoot it with?
Thanks for the kind words, Solarwar! I took that shot in a Finnish summer cottage which belongs to family. The Sauna in the picture is really small and just used the standard kit lens (SEL 18-55) at 18mm and sticthed it from three images (25sec exposures with f/7.1). Because of humid/warmth I took the shots before we threw any water on a stove. After the shots I brought my Nex-5N outside and we began throwing water..
Season of Summer Light Week 27, Saturday - Watching the clouds go by
"For couple of recent days the weather has been same as before, which means we are waiting for summer to come back. Luckily it doesn't affect Aura in any way and she is as eager as always for small trips. Couple of days ago we all together went the lake shore just to hang around and see if water is still cold. It's a pretty big lake which means it warms up quite slowly - a fact that we verified by reading +15 degrees of Celsius (60 degrees at Fahrenheit scale) from the water temperature sign. [...]"
That's correct. I've never shot with the 50/1.8, though given the questions, I should probably add that to the top of my 'should review' list, even if it's been out for a while.
A few shots from fireworks last night. Where we have gone the past two years isn't the best vantage point for fireworks photography (no real good shots at all, though I do include one below)..and it's only OK for actually viewing the fireworks (it was fine, but I'd prefer to be closer...but with a 6 year old in tow, getting home quickly afterwards is sometimes more important.)
Took the kids to the park today. The swing shots are with the 18-105mm. Did pretty well on swing motion, but certainly not a high hit rate (about 15-20%), which isn't terrible for swings, since most any camera falls on its face with tracking swing motion because it's very close, erratic and accelerates and decelerates rapidly. This makes two cameras (X-T1) that I have that can actually do a passable job on swing shots.
