Hi, the "painterly/multi-ex" effect? Yep, just use the whispy water app handheld or I guess even on a tripod if there are randomly moving elements in the scene. The posted painterly/multi-ex effect images were handheld.
Enjoy!
Where do you get the Whispy Water app? Is this a Sony specific app? I tried to search for it but I coulldn't find it.

Love the Alaska pics. Great finds, well photographed.
Seems worth picking up an a6000 just to use the 10-18 on it.
Thanks. I'm having a blast with it. The A6000 + 10-18 + 16-70 + Gitzo Traveler 1541/1542 and small ballhead is a great hiking kit. Compact and light with very good image quality.
Season of Summer Light Week 27, Wednesday - Rainy days
"It's been cold and rainy weather for couple of days and not like typical summer weather. In Finland this means temperatures from 10 to 15 Celsius (50-60 on a Fahrenheit scale) and couple of millimeters of water on an average rainy day. It's too cold and wet to go outside, so we need to stay in and find something else to do. So because of weather we went to local market square and got some peas to Aura. [...]"
Another shot from the 60/2.8. After looking more closely, this is up there with the sharpest lenses I've ever used: The Olympus 75/1.8, the Canon 100/2.8L IS, etc.
Season of Summer Light Week 26, Saturday - Warm darkness
"In the middle of the summer night, far away from a noisy world and surrounded only by the forest, me and my brother sit in a pitch black sauna with approximately 90 degrees of Celsius (190 degrees at Fahrenheit scale). It's so dark we can hardly see our faces and the only light we have is reflection of a sunset that comes from the lake and through the window. There are no distracting noises, only a smooth buzz that comes from the stove while it heats up the room. This sauna is now serving the third generation and there is no modern conveniences like electric light in it. And while there is an electric sauna in almost every home in Finland, it's not easy to find sauna like this; old and in its original form with all odd details from yesteryears. To find it, you need to depart from beaten paths and find your way through to trails that are not marked in any maps. [...]"
A6000 with Sigma 60/2.8 wide open. The A6000 is the first Sony body that I've honestly liked right off the bat. They fixed almost everything that drove me crazy about the NEX bodies.
I currently have majority of the Sony e-mount lenses including the SEL 35mm f/1.8 & SEL 50mm f/1.8.
How do you like the Sigma 60mm f/2.8?
How does the Sigma 60mm compare?
I haven't used a ton of native E mount lenses yet, so I can't compare to the 50/1.8. I can tell you that the 60, despite its cheap price, is among the sharpest lenses I've ever used on ANY camera. It is blisteringly sharp right from wide open, and very sharp even into the corners. It's in the same realm as the Olympus 75/1.8, the Fuji 56/1.2, the Canon 100/2.8L IS, the Canon 70-200/2.8L IS II. That level of sharpness.

Thanks Jordan for sharing the example.
The Sigma 60mm f/2.8 looks very sharp...wished it was also a macro lens, then I would be all over it
I feel for that 50mm and 60mm is so close that it wouldn't be wise to own both.
The SEL 50mm is also a very sharp lens.
