Well, I was initially interested in a couple of spare batteries and a charger for my A7, but the other part of the deal I found was a NEX 5 converted to Infra-Red with a Super Colour 590nm filter for very little money.
I've never done IR photography before, so I thought it could be fun to give it a go.
Popped out at lunch time today after it arrived and came back with this...
Week 6, Wednesday - Purity and Danger
"Most of my days are spent with Aura as I'm babysitting her home while Sari goes to work. This might sound like I have loads of time to use on photography, but it's actually other way around. I need to take care of routines like eating, playing, going outdoors etc. When Aura is taking her afternoon naps, I get two hours of free time, which I usually use for my freelance work if there is any to be done at the moment. When Sari comes from work, I get couple hours of free time which I usually put working on my thesis. Finally when Aura goes to sleep, usually at nine o'clock at evening, it's time for photography. So because of these daily routines I don't get much free time for photography and it makes me very satisfied if I can squeeze some pictures while doing every day routines, like taking care of dishes. Every day routines might sound like a boring subject for photography, but it doesn't have to be. [...]"

Nice to be able to use live-view to get focus accurate. When I use my Leica M8 with 092 filter it's a guesstimation game!
That's a bonus, it's true.
Not having a proper viewfinder on the plain ol' '5' is perhaps rather less than ideal. The only camera I've ever owned that just had a rear screen is my iPhone.
I may have to investigate one of those screen loupe thingies...
From dreaming of a Caribbean sunrise to 'reality'. Nex 6 with Lens Turbo and Nikon 28mm 2.8. The snowblower is ready for a rest after cleaning up several driveways.
Hmmm... never used a viewfinder! Also never used my Yashica ML 50/1.7 until last night - can't imagine why, it seems pretty good! Wide open or close, hand-held, :
Jim, you handled the lighting conditions really well. Nice dynamic range on those black and whites. This is from last night, very cold here in Omaha! Nex 6, lens turbo, nikon 50mm 1.8 for the first one. Nex 7 and 35mm 1.8 for the second.
Week 6, Saturday - Egg Visions
"I don't know where the idea for this picture came, so don't ask. All I know that I had sight in my mind for couple of days and I wish I would remember where it started precisely. It kept coming back and to realize it I needed to found certain kind of egg cartons which have holes in them. At the first it turned out that they don't make so much that kind of cartons anymore, they are all closed ones. I wandered from shop to another with Aura on a daily basis and just when I was about to give up, we found these 'old kind of egg cartons' and were very happy. Later at same night I found myself laughing alone while I was setting things up for this photograph. It was fun to shoot. [...]"
