I looked out my kitchen window and saw this massive floating fish-processing plant go by, headed for the locks. I grabbed my camera gear and ran out the door, and jogged the half-mile down the road to the locks. And. . . found out they were closed, because of course of the government shut-down.
So this is about the best I could do as it left the locks and headed out towards the sound. And this was shooting into the sun, so it took a lot of work to make anything useful out of the photo.
May I ask which NEX you are using? That 28 pic has quite amazing colors and details.. Very nice.
TY, sir. Leica 28 Summicron, most expensive lens I own on 5n. It's supersensitive on focus and I really hit that one. Some felt this lens was wasted on the nex, but I've been happy with it. Can't wait to see how it is with A7r. I never did get a nex-7.

very nice, Taylor and ebookman.
Its not wasted as long as you use it. I hope A7r will have as good colors as NEX-5N at least..
Been following this thread since the beginning. Some really great photos here. Thought I'd start sharing a few of mine. A couple from a recent trip to the mountains in southern Utah.
How or why this picture came out, I have no idea. But the ones I took from the 'proper' reasonable direction with nice lighting all failed, and I really like this one.
Uhoh, you've got a lot of nice pics, but I can always pick out your 28 cron pics from a set without reading the labels. They just stand out.
A bunch of pics from the Saarinen TWA terminal at JFK, before it gets turned into a restaurant or something. All with the G28 (which is not a bad 28 either)
