Is S mount adaptable to Leica M? Got my Nokton 50/1.5 for 370 Euros, from a fellow forum member here on FM, like new.
Yes, there's a fellow in South America who does custom S and Contax to M mount adapters. These are very high quality brass adapters (and are priced like it, they're somewhere around $300USD but are also fully coupled). Check RFF for details.
If you just want to go to an M adapter, eBay should have some for much cheaper.
The NEX really worls well with "old" C/Y lenses! I have 3, and really like the result. No focus shift either. But they are, of course, quite bulky compared to M mount.
The first one is epic, Philippe! I like the composition, the colors and the framing - everything - a lot.
I don't normally do this, Philippe, and I hope very much, that you will not get angry on me, but the first has everything to the point, there is nothing to add or make better, so the other two really are not special in comparison.
Heinz, your point is well understood. In this case, my intent was to show sharpness and bokeh from this lens, which is not a common one on this forum. But you are right, sometimes less is more.
Kind of thought it was from the bumper but was hard to be sure given the DOF effect. We've all seen examples of the tilt/shift effect able to make whole cities look like nothing but models.

Managed to sneak my Sony NEX-5 into a concert at the Minnesota Zoo recently. Also tucked a Nikon 180/2.8 ED Ai-S in my wife's purse. The result was some shots of The Monkees. Yup - we saw The Monkees at the zoo. Well, three of 'em anyway.
