Jim - you get such great results out of that Summaron! How would your describe the overall performance of that lens?
Phillip - great work as usual!
The Summaron lives up to its legendary status.Amazingly sharp WO, great color. But what i really like about it is its ability to maintain brightness in the center of the image while shutting down the shadows of the image.I do not get that with any other lens that i have now or have had in the past. Its size is very small being a Leica M lens.

Phillip, It's great to see you're back out at Tenerife. Once again, an amazing set of images. Congrats.
I really, really want to go to this place! Are you making these trips with family, friends, solo? You might catch my drift of where I'm going with this...

thx
You are living in the US, land of the greatest national parks like Yosemite ... and you want to go to Tenerife?^^
I mean i like the island but we (my GF and I that is) went there mostly because of the good weather. In Summer i would probably know a dozen more interesting destinations in europe.
I was traveling with my GF and it certainly was not a specific photo-trip. We were mostly doing walks but nothing too hard. If i had been on my own you would see many more sunset/sunrise pictures from dramatic locations .
This summer my GF is bound by exams so i am on my own, i have thought about trips to Scotland or the alps but it is hard to find company which is fit, and likes to walk and do photography.
Very nice images everyone in these last few pages. SO many to comment individually. Derek, I love the portraits of your daughter. Jim, the way you use your summaron is always very special! Philip, very nice! Taran and Leady, the NEX as birding cameras! Very cool!
Here's one from some time ago: NEX 5N- Zeiss 16-80- Sony LA-EA2: http://pcdn.500px.net/27530631/495214e69695df96b66668b37eca085fd5c39c0e/4.jpg
Phillip: I use the LA-EA1 with my 85/2.8 SAM. It does AF, but very slowly. Of course a lot of that is the lens, the 85 SAM is pretty slow to AF even on an A99
