As for normal-ish lens, I just won a 38/1.8 (pen) and a 40/2.0 (minolta m-rokkor). I'll test those two out first, maybe get a 35 or 45 contax g too and eventually the new 35/1.2 when it comes out. Testing ftw
sweet, they should compliment each other well, the minolta should should be strong and well behaved across the board while the pen is a bit faster and very sharp with a great mfd and some field curvature that can create very interesting character.
That pen looks like a really nice lens! Can't wait to try it.
Part of the reason why i also got the minolta was my love for the rokkor 58/1.2 and the statements about that lens being a "almost-leica". Will post when i get it.
Ok, I'll try to make this my final stupid nex-related question of the day.. :P
I'm trying to fill inn the short-tele-part of my trio kit (16/2.8 + 38/1.8 or 40/2 and a 75-105-ish lens). I have seen that the contax g 90/2.8s go relatively cheap. Is there a difference between the chrome/titanium and black versions optically?
If I want a small, sharp and contrasty mid-long tele, that would be the natural choice, right? Or are there any other lenses with punchy look out there? On my d700 I use the 105/2.5 ai-s for this purpose, and the 180/2.8 Ai-S ED.

a last generation 90 elmerit or cron would probably be very good as well, but i think the contax is certainly the best bang for your buck. you might be interested in something a little shorter as well if you ever want closer to the 100mm focal length there is the voigtlander 75/2.5 and new 75/1.8.
How are the "look" from those CVs? sharp? biting? or are they more portrait-friendly? I'm currently biting my nails waiting for delivery of a couple of lenses, adapters and stuff

not sure about the 75/2.5, but the f/1.8 is designed to be a bit soft wide open for portraits.
Should I pick up a NEX-5 today or is there a new model coming out soon that I should hold out for? I'm not in any rush to pick up one. Also, I'm looking at the Zeiss 24/1.7. Any other lens that I should look out for to complement that one? I'm a sucker for quality primes. Thanks!
Is it possible to change iso without going into the menus? newbie question here :P And is it possible to "save" the mf-position? or do you have to start in the center each time?
