First shot's with the Elmarit-M 24 (my neighbor's roses are hearty beasts- this bloom was after the first frost).
The rest are the Summarit-M 75. The shooting experience is similar to shooting my R 100 APO on the a900. The 75 isn't as well corrected, but I'm fairly certain the resolution is just as high. I like the bokeh a little more on the 75 and it's nice and light.

great shots! how close can you get with the 75 summarit on the helicoid adapter?
This is a cross post from the Zeiss image thread. I also include a few other pictures. I hope you guys like it. It was the first time for me to be at the balloon fiesta, and it was fun.

uhoh, that sigma 8-16 certainly looks nice!
how do you control the aperture?
flypenfly is correct, I have the sony alpha mount version. I have both Laea1 and 2--the latter allows AF, but since it is larger and AF is pointless for landscapes, I use the 1. The aperture can be controled anyway you like, manual or auto. You can find those adapters quite cheap used.
I would also be possible to control a nikon mount aperture with the right adapter, and soon there will be a fully functional AF adapter for canon EF.
Bunch more great shots up there, sweet angle on the kitchen, leaves incredible, ballons are fantastic, and as for the hula hooper.....well I'm seriously impressed on a number of levels

Thanks! And I'll have to find out for you. The last shot is close to MFD with the Hawks, but I did pull it back a little to get the focus on the leaf.
Charlie, whenever you post your photos from that Nikon 180 I'm impressed by it. I always think it must be some Leica lens too (before I look). I've not used very much Leica glass, but in my mind this seems to have a similar look - reduced contrast, open shadows, nice fine detail. I really like it.

This shot looks great; I wouldn't have thought this lens would get a lot of use from you since you have the 28 cron? Any thoughts comparing the two?
I have been dragging the cron to hell and back WITH the hood on, which I now know is a nono---funny since the case call for the hood to on---- and the front half is a bit loose now, common i guess, and I am sending it off to DAG to be retightened. The old elmarit is good, but not like the asph version, which is fantastic, and not wildly expensive.
@jacob I keep trying to replace the 180 somehow because it's beefy, but it resists I did quite a bit of research when I choose a 200ish lens, and bottom line, the AIS ED is considered one of the very best lenses Nikon ever made. Mine is far from pristine--even has some coating spots on the front...but it kills. A good price would be 250.
