Great shots Boris and Bob

Cornerfix looks like it worked really well. Wonder if it could have success on the 21mm as well ??

CaptureOne finally supports NEX now as well, so with their LLC profiles one could probably not need Cornerfix anymore and have a more intergrated workflow.

I personally don't find Cornerfix too bad though because you can batch process, and given I've been already converting my NEX raw's to the digital negative format as I didn't have a processer that could open them as is, its not really much extra effort.

C1 being all in one though I am looking forward to trying out. Wonder

C1 Pro 6.2 works great with LCC profiles. For me, corner fix has been cumbersome, but does work very well. With the M9, I have opted for C1 as part of work flow now for 6 months, as there are many red edge issues that arise with WA's. The lens/camera combo is unique, so there is not a one fix all solution. I have tested it with the NEX 5 and ZM 25/2.8, and this works very well now IMO.

Charles, are you saying that Capture One corrects for colourshift? I couldn't get Cornerfix to sort out a Contax G 21, a ZM 25 or a Leica Elmarit 24, all lenses I would have loved to use on my NEX, so I am most interested...

The second shot was processed with a preset in Lightroom that I use for many urban shots. It pumps up both fill and black, desaturates about 60%, applies a sepia like tint and some vignetting. I usually then dial back on the black and sometimes add more saturation. If you use Lightroom, I'd be happy to send you a copy of the preset.

So, what's a good wide angle for the NEX? I've heard issues with mounting the Contax G 18. Is the NEX 16mm a decent lens or are there better options?

Yes, having had C1 Pro as part of my workflow into CS5 for the M9 resolved the issues with colour shift/red edge issues with wide angles, in my case FL 35mm and wider. I must thank John Black, as he suggested this method for the M9 to me. Now with C1 Pro 6.2 NEX 3/5 is included which is great. The colours tend to be richer out of C1 too. Basically it just requires a pocket calibrator, just a neutral white piece of plastic, placed over the lens and shoot away from the sun near midday with the lens and camera at a few f stops with a +1 exp comp. In my case with the ZM 25 f/2.8, f/4, 5.6 and 8 in combo with the NEX 5. Just four shots. These are raw shots that the correction then produces ICC profiles, which you can name, and then use as a one click process in the workflow for all other shots you take with the ZM 25/NEX 5 combo. It is very accurate and it works The correction can correct for vignetting too if you wish, as it is part of the LCC correction.

I've seen some shots from the 16mm on a NEX-3 and many of them had awfully soft corners. Stopped down it looked decent.

i've seen some spectacular shots from the zm 18/4, but it does have some color shift. the 16mm is a great $150 dollar 24mm equivalent, but i'm always left wanting more from it.

Bob, don't even dream of mounting a Contax G 18 on the NEX unless you know how to get rid of colourshift. I have a 21 and it is a heartbreak that I can't use it, it is so good, and the 18 colourshift should be, if anything, worse. I tried a ZM 18, another splendid lens, and it shifted as well, though much less than the G21. The Sony 16mm redefines the word "sucky", though some guys here have decent copies. I tried two and took a vow to stay away.

What Contax G18 are you guys talking about? I had two Contax G bodies and 6 prime lenses for years but I never knew that there was a Contax G 18mm lens . I did have a Contax G 16mm Hologon, if that's what you guys meant.... On the other hand, yes, there is an 18mm Zeiss lens in the current ZM, ZF, ZE, etc.

Anyone try a Zuiko 21/2 or 21/3.5 on the NEX?

Apparently, even the Zuiko 18 works well. Which is logical, as it is a DSLR lens, and not a RF one.
