Man, I've been really eyeing the G28 but the way people talk of the focusing action is a little off putting. It seems like a nice way to get the ZM 28 Biogon performance at half the price though.
The focusing on my g28 is better than in the longer G lenses, because it's lighter. Also, the focusing on all of my g lenses has gotten smoother over time ( though still not quite as good as a true MF lens)

Is it at least better than dedicated AF lenses? (which these are of course but I would think the adapter helps in this regard) I'm thinking about getting a C/Y 50/1.4 but I've sort of dreamed of getting one of Zeiss's 28mm offerings and the 28/2.8 G could be in reach for me. I'm just worried about the buyers remorse when I find the focusing action isn't for me.
I currently own a Minolta 28/2.8 Rokkor-X which I got for $30. It produces nice colors but it renders no where near my former C/Y 50/1.7 as far as fine detail and contrast which I loved from it.
