Not to bug in.... But I've been looking at these pics a lot, as my Nex 7 gets here today!!! Hey freaklikeme... That pic you took labeled "at sunset we fly", was taken on Beach Dr in Seacliff(Aptos), somewhere past the gate, wasn't it?? If you happened to see a UPS driver down there while vacationing, it was probably me!!!

Hey, Gregg. Congrats on the NEX-7! There's a lot to love about it. And, yes, that house was the third house in on the beach side past the gate if you enter the community going south. That's where we had the wedding. The house I rented was in the neighborhood north of State Park Drive near the Beachcliff entrance. If you do that neighborhood as well, I did see you pulling away from our neighbor's house one day.
A forlorn Fat Patty, stuck in da' fence. AGAIN!! I had thoughts about making delicious goat stew as I tried to get her loose. 5N + 24ZA. Hmmm, looking at this photo, I almost see a titch of 3D.

Thanks
Goats are weird, and kind of stupid, aren't they? Not sure about goat stew though ...

Nice photo. How does one get a goat to turn it's head and back up? Do you straddle the goat and work from behind, to avoid the teeth but likely get kicked at some point, or do you go from the front and tell her you're going to leave her there if she bites you?
Any thoughts on a 24 prime? I'm considering a Rokkor 2.8 or a FD 2. Both seems great on NEX from what I've seen in this thread. I've already got the Sigma 30/2.8, but I'm not too happy with the output.
I think the 18-55 is ok as well, at least stopped down a bit:

Hmm, what happens with the 28 Cron wide-open? I've been pondering getting one of those.
Are your comments specific to the Nex-7 or when used on any camera?
28 cron is especially superb wide open as u can see with gorgeous beach shot last page. It's as good or better than the 50 lux, depending on your taste- and better across the frame wide open.
Far from wasted, it shows the Sony sensor at its best. For me anyway.

I wedge a 4x4 into the gate, pull the rails apart a bit, and then try to pet her. She totally loathes me, so she tries to RUN!!!! She was wild when we got her, and was supposed to go to Freezer Camp this summer. She wouldn't get in the trailer with the boys, so... Here she is, still.
FWIW goats don't have top teeth and can't really bite much, and they don't really kick either.
Dinner photo, Chevron meatloaf, with a side of smashed potatoes and home-made pickles. 5N & 24ZA.
