how does that combo compare your OM-D + ZD 50 macro out of curiousity?

I don't know yet. The ZD50 is a lot more neutral in terms of contrast.

I haven't done a 1:1 test yet and not sure if I will. It's 67.5mm vs 100mm and even the aspect ratios are different as well as the sensor size.

not an option. i tried a beanbag, the mist/fog moves so it just looks like i have a hazy lens with long exposures.

Nice series Jim.

The Canon FD's aren't as "sexy" as other alts, but many are quite good. My FD 24 f/2.8 SSC is fantastic on the NEX.

Michael, are you in trouble for something you did? Or did it just take you waaaaayyyyy too long to focus?

Yeah, I know that look. I am usually on the giving end of it. So - were you guilty as charged?

One with the CZJ 58/2. I've got to get this lens looked at. The focus is so stiff, I rarely use it, but I'm happy with the results when I do.

Ah yes, here you can see the slight overall pinkish cast with this lens wide-open on the Nex -- which model is this? I see the same w/ the Nex-7.

It doesn't drive me nuts but it's not something I've found a way to completely correct. WB adjustments in LR aren't quite doing it for me, and Cornerfix doesn't know what the heck to do about a reference image which is uniformly pinkish.

This is the Nex-7.

Many (but not all) RF lenses take on very unique characteristics when shot wide open (the 28 Cron and the 50 Cron particularly). I find those qualities double to duplicate, so if I want them, I open up, if not, f/2 gets rid of them on this particular lens.

Hmm, what happens with the 28 Cron wide-open? I've been pondering getting one of those.

Are your comments specific to the Nex-7 or when used on any camera?

I don't remember if these are all f/2, but there are probably at least f/4. Any Leica lens is going to be more impressive on an M-whatever, but some keep some of the wide-open character even on a NEX/etc.
