I wedge a 4x4 into the gate, pull the rails apart a bit, and then try to pet her. She totally loathes me, so she tries to RUN!!!! She was wild when we got her, and was supposed to go to Freezer Camp this summer. She wouldn't get in the trailer with the boys, so... Here she is, still.
FWIW goats don't have top teeth and can't really bite much, and they don't really kick either.
Wait, you couldn't get the animal that doesn't bite or kick loaded on a truck? What'd she do, go limp?
are you saying that the meatloaf was made from a goat that was Fat Patty's brother??
a Voigt 35 1.2 v2 with a helicoid adaptor sold to me by an FM'er. Ordinarily, with this lens. you can only get about a
meter close to your subject, the helicoid allow me to get within a foot !! but my focus,, yikes I'm working on it.
Jim, this is my 2nd go 'round with the lens... The first time, I was disappointed. The kit lens is really good at 24, and I felt the ZA was overpriced for the issues it has (not super sharp wide open, and crazy LOCA at times).
Now I have decided to try it again, knowing it's faults, and it is just not annoying me this time around. I think it's a lens you just have to try for yourself and decide if it pleases you enough to be worth the high price. I am trying to work to it's strengths & enjoy it as it is...
(Plus I got a good price on a used copy, which took the a bit of the sting away from purchasing it again)
FLM - the meaty goats are in a big space. They either get in willingly for some grain or not... They may not kick or bite but they can run ALOT faster than I can! It's OK, the freezer is full as it is (there's half a pastured beef, too).
5N + ZA24 - Rosa 'Quietness' putting on a few last fragrant blooms

Uh-huh. You have ATVs and I'm betting you know how to throw a lasso. If not, perfect opportunity to learn. Goat rodeo! Anyway, I think you like having Fat Patty around, for whatever reason.
Of course. It's easy to be optimistic when it's not your problem and you will likely never have to actually attempt your half-brained schemes. I just wanted to see if I could goad you into a goat rodeo. Goat Rodeo!
Hello everyone! Got my Nex-7 today...I actually picked it up AT work!! I think I'm going to like this camera a lot! I will get in depth later this weekend, once I have more time to play!
In the meantime, a few pics taken with some various Nikon ais lenses...
Gregg
Once again, so many fine shots! I can't leave you guys for even a couple of days without falling behind!
Corposant, fine beach set, with the 'Cron!
AF, great self-portrait!
3D indeed, Michelle!
The last from your set, is tremendous, sebbh!
As is yours, Jim!
My turn to play. 3 shots from the Northern coast of Britttany, in the area of Saint Malo and Dinard. I am fast becoming a single-lens-guy (Leica 24mm Elmar). This is scary!
It's hard to describe when it comes to personal taste, but i just don't get the colours right. Then I wanted autofocus, but it's slow and irreliable, I'm better off with manual focus. Of course, you'll get what you pay for - it's a good lens at that price.
Kjetil, if you are looking for a great 24mm prime, I am totally in love with the Leica 24mm Elmar f:3.8. Of course, it is ridiculously expensive, and slow to boot! But results have made me go pretty much one-lens. I tried it by chance when I tried to establish why it was I couldn't love the ZA 24mm Sony-Zeiss, and never looked back. Oh, and it gives colour shift, but easily corrected in CornerFix.
Receive my NEX-7 two days ago. Still try to familiar with the setup. I am not a LCD guy, so pretty much use EVF all the time so far. I wasn't very happy with peaking performance for slow down the lens, so almost all the keepers are WO. The body is totally different than C3 I had, I would say it has very good build quality almost to 80-90 golden age's Sony product standard. I love what I see so far. It will be nice compliment for the M system.
I really don't care much low light, high ISO performance. at base or close to base ISO, the file quality is extremely good and can be push pull a lot without collapse. Nice. I don't have leica lens on hand only 35cron.
Here are a handful of images from a backpacking trip to the Goat Rocks wilderness in Washington. The weather was just fine and the wildflowers were at their peak.
