your trusty subject seems like a great dog. I have had 3 different colors of Labs, though they were/are all wonderful dogs, there was something special about me and the yellow one!
This one is special as well. A very laid back disposition. She's actually half lab, half golden and she seems to have the best in their personality traits.
went to a wedding of my cousin last night. with 2 kids (4yrs and 3 months) was not going to haul my dslr. took the nex5n, 18-55, and 50 1.8 with me. No flash. The images are not earth shattering, but the family was really excited to have some early pictures until the photographer's images come in. My daughter was the flower girl, so a lot of images of her. Kevindar - nice job.a touch of flash would have helped but these look quite nice.

thanks for taking time to look and commenting. yes fill flash would have been good, but wanted to keep the size down, and be unobtrusive.

Nice Sebboh, I think I'd really like to get one of those jupiter 3's... any chance you can post a BW from it?
thanks, i actually think it is better for b&w than color. the coatings on it are primitive (or in some cases nonexistent), which tends to make the colors a little off. shot in b&w with a heavy curve applied can give it a very classic film type of look. b&w conversion can also tone down some of the bokeh craziness from the lens.
here's one of the above shots converted to b&w and cropped a bit different:
and here is a color and b&w version of the same shot:
some handheld shots in the night mist with contax g 45 wide open:
and one with the sony 16mm also wide open but on the NEX-3 instead of NEX-7:
i always have a lot of trouble controlling noise on misty shots without losing the mist. does anybody have any suggestions for how to deal with this? perhaps i encounter it a lot more often than most since i live in SF...
thanks sebboh, I really like both the colour and BW versions.. the BW def has that classic look.
now just to find a reasonably priced / quality version on ebay.. any suggestions?

they're hard to find outside of the ol' ussr. you can certainly get them cheap from the ukraine, but you have to wait 2 months and a lot of those sellers seem a bit shifty. i got mine from adorama after chasing local sellers and auctions for nearly a year.

well it's about $1000 more expensive...
i've always been interested in it too. douglas was nice enough to send me some raws from his zm 50/1.5 on the NEX-5N. they both have a very similar design and the 'look' to the images is very close. the new zm has much better contrast and color due to it's modern coatings. it also seems to have a larger area of high sharpness (the crazy field curvature hits closer to the corners). i wouldn't consider either of them viable though for pictures where i want everything to be sharp.

thanks, thats where I have thought of the contax 45
I don have a minolta MD 50mm 1.4 and its pretty sharp all over with nice colours and it only set me back $100
