I own a nFD 50/1.4 which is my preferred fast 50 and a nFD 35/2 which i use for shooting people.
Both are quite fine optically and small as well (for a slr lens).
Some samples i probably have posted in the past:

Awesome image!
Nice images with the FD Lenses Phillip!
Kevindar - I have the conurus smart adapter. I use it with my Canon 14mm L II, and the Zeiss 21 Distagon, 50 and 100 makro planars. The adapter works very nicely with the new Canon 40mm STM although the adapter is at least as large as the lens! Other lenses start to get to large and cumbersome for practical use for me unless tripod mounted but I haven't tried that much.
I finally settled on a Nex-7 with the 50 1.8 OSS. I love this combo and think it is almost equal to when I had a 5D2! I got it because of the size and ease to just have it laying about. Here is a pic I took of my daughter that I think shows off a lot of the qualities...high iso, slow shutter speed and sharp! So now I get to sell the rest of my Canon gear!
So, I've been thinking about moving from the NEX-5N to the NEX-7. I've been reading a lot on the reviews comparing one versus the other and there are definitely pros and cons. So, I figured I would put it out there to this user community. Should I stay or should I go? Why should I stay put with the 5N? Why should I move to the NEX-7?
Thanks for your input!!!
In keeping within this thread, here's an image taken with the 5N and the CV35/1.2 II

Hi Bob - I had the 5N for a year, have had the NEX-7 for about 3 weeks, and also have access to the XPro-1 thanks to my gracious neighbor.
I loved the results from my 5N, but I just couldn't get over the glare when trying to compose on the rear screen, and hated the ergonomics with the external EVF. I liked the built-in VF and 24MP on the 7, so I upgraded.
If you have a bunch of alt lenses which are 35mm and wider, you will have to determine if they smear on the 7 and if they don't, learn to use cornerfix. Cornerfix isn't a big deal, but it's an extra step. Longer than 35mm, you will have no problems and can really exploit the sensor on the 7.
That said, the NEX-7 is a great tool - huge step up in handling and control than the "lesser" NEXs. The sensor has similar characteristics to the D800, in terms of resolution and dynamic range. There's a bit more noise at ISO 100 than the 5N, and both the XP1 and 5N will outperform at higher ISOs.
My suggestion would be to rent (or just buy) the Sigmarits (19 and 30). If you like those on your 5N, you'll love them on the 7, especially with the added controls. If you don't, I would stick with the 5N. The 30mm is a truly amazing lens, and honestly despite the mixed feedback, I really like the 19 too.
The lack of native lenses are still the weak link here, and the NEX-7 really highlights it. I am waiting for the wide zoom to make the NEX-7 work as a digital landscape camera, but I got the LA-EA2 in a package deal for my NEX-7, so I am going to start playing around with SLR wides.
Thanks for this feedback. It sounds like I'll like the 7 if for nothing else, the bulit-in VF. I have the EVF on the 5N and it's OK. As for shooting wide, I tend to use the conurus smart adapter and my Zeiss 21ZE or Canon 14L II. Both are great on the 5N. Otherwise, a near permanent fixture on my NEX is the CV35/1.2 II which I hope will be as stellar on the 7 as it is on the 5N.
The sigmarits sounds interesting if for nothing else, the autofocus. While I'm mostly an alt-manual focus type of shooter, autofocus is refreshing once in a while!
Hi Bob -- have been immensely enjoying your images in the forum. Well, before going for the NEX-7, I too had some reservations about the sensor issues with wideangles (such as the Biogons that I liked). But then it turned out that the CV20/3.5 and CV35/1.2 performed without problems on the 7, the latter being especially admirable, but I don't need to tell you that.
Also keeping the 30mm Sigma for some easy AF shooting with one hand; it's indeed very sharp on the 7 but, IMHO, somewhat lacks personality as far as the drawing style is concerned, and so generally I prefer the Voigts. Then there is, of course, the CZ24mm which is a fine one as a genre lens but maybe not so much for landscape work. Anyhow, there are some WA lens options for the 7, even if not so many for the moment.
As for the handling, ditto, I've found it (including the built-in VF, Tri-Navi, etc.) a lot better with the 7; and the 24mp resolution, which I had been somewhat apprehensive of prior to getting the camera, has actually come to be something I now enjoy (very pleasant possibilities for cropping). The 5N is excellent too but the 7 has been a nice upgrade overall (no regrets and wouldn't want to go back). Just my 2 cents.
Alex
P.S.: a handheld snap with NEX7/cv20 on the way home, just to keep the image thread running... http://album.foto.ru:8080/photos/or/396183/2609893.jpg
Playing around with the Skink pinhole "sieve" attachment, which I hadn't seen a lot of in this thread. One of the things I liked about the m43 system was the wanderlust pinhole. I am happy to say the Skink works in a similar fashion. I only employ the lens hand held, so please forgive the high iso.

Today I've been doing photography for one year. Thanks to everyone on this forum, my primary source of knowledge. I've learnt alot, and I'm hoping to continue to learn and improve.

alan, beautiful pictures, and useful link. all things considered, I may be just better off with the sigma 19 or sigma 30 for my light walk around. they are optically very good, reasonably priced, small, and have autofocus and auto aperture. I will have a play with the camera before investing in more glass.
