Tested a Zeiss Proxar f=0.2m with the Sonnar 85mm f2. Although this shot turned out pretty nice artistically (I never thought I could make dandelion weed look good), I wouldn't recommend using proxars for general closeup work. They add alot of CA, and sharpness is not very good.
Yeah, I'm seriously digging those Contarex shots as well. They're great shots, and the old-fashioned Zeiss rendering is a nice change in pace from the usual 'Modern' rendering we see here most of the time from Zeiss shots.

Thanks for the warm welcome LightShow. I was actually kind of intimated to post instead of just lurking. I have only been shooting for two years. Some of the members here at FM have been shooting longer than I've been alive.
Anyway, here are a couple more with the Contax G 45mm f2.0 in Boracay, Philippines
I'm enjoying these beach photos very much. The 2nd one above has got the signature "G45 pop" going, could stand for a slight horizon adjustment. I like the 3rd a lot.
I haven't visited FM for quite a while, but found out that this is an excellent place to check how alternative lenses work on the NEX.
I just bought a NEX-7 last week and intend to use it with various, not too expensive lenses of any make. So far I've tried it with my Nikkor 45/2.8P and 105/2.5, which both works excellent!
Buttons by afeman, on Flickr. Shot with Nikkor 105/2.5 on NEX-7
I borrowed three FDn lenses that I will try out, and see how well they work on the NEX. So far I've come to the conclusion that 200 mm without stabilization and an EVF is far from optimal, and that the lenses show a fair amount of CA ...

I took this shot purposely out of focus. I kind of like it though I'm not used to trying to take shots like this.
Welcome. jonrock. I like that last one. Gorgeous colors.
What a cavalcade of talent in 268/269. I salute you one and all, for real. Goh, to follow such a post from freaklikeme (awesome stuff)... alas, someone had to do it.

Thank you very much, taran, but I think you did just fine. I especially love the last shot. It reminds me of Martha's Vineyard.
