My first impression is, that it has a really different character than the G45,
@ f/2.8 its quite sharp in the center while field curvature usually results in softer corners plus the G28 vignettes quite a lot. I really like the look of the resulting images, the foreground really stands out and the image has a somewhat fullframeish look.
@f/5.6 resolution is great across the frame, at least at middistance, infinity needs some more investigation.

The Distagon 28/2.8 does this too. Wide open there is flare (lower contrast) in the corners too, which increases the emphasis on the center even more. Nice to see that this characteristic is still somewhat preserved on an APS-C sensor.
Those Normandy shots are very nice, but I have to say that nothing is truly sharp in them. Is that an export problem, or are the originals also not sharp?
