Well, Hawk Helicoid adapter just arrived. I mounted it to my NEX 5N and CV35/1.2 II and took a few random shots. Certainly not a full test but just to get familiar with the adapter in its fully extended position. All shot at f/2.0
#2, where are the rest of the pictures? jk, nice colors contrast
Wow, is what I keep saying to myself looking at some of the output by you guys here.
I finally picked up an el-cheapo Fotodiox EOS adapter to try some of my SLR lenses on the 5N. Here are a few initial shots

Those Normandy shots are very nice, but I have to say that nothing is truly sharp in them. Is that an export problem, or are the originals also not sharp?
This is the third time I get this comment and I found them a bit fuzzy myself too.
Other people also mentioned it in the Ricoh GXR images thread.
At first I thought; I cannot focus properly anymore
I do work on all my files in LR.
But I have been looking into it and it has to do with a fault I made (or creeped into) an action I made to add the frame and text. It concerns all my postings made lately in the landscape mode.
The vertical action I made is alright and I found the difference between the two actions. If I find the time I will repair a lot of my postings. A lot have allready been done.
I made a new action and now all the pixels blown up to the extreme remain exactly the same after the action compared to the straightly - down sized for the web - one.
I changed the ones posted above. They must look better now. I could't get rid of the emty image.
The roof picture remains unsharp. Must have been the focussing.

It really looks like a scaling problem because there's no "sharp" region in the photo. As in everywhere is equally un-sharp, like the images were scaled to 300 pixels and then blown back up again. Feel free to PM me and we can talk and make sure your processing steps are actually getting the images out right! Your compositions are very promising, and it'd be good to actually be able to show them off.
Thanks Nicolaas M! These were taken in the Banff/Lake Louise area last weekend. It is a beautiful location. They were all taken with the kit Sony 16m lens.
All of these shots were with 90, 45, 28 Contax Gs in that order. All shot wide open or one stop below.
First full day shooting the NEX - even then it was just on my lunch break. I really, really like the touch screen. It is a bit hard to shoot in sunlight, any shade at all fixes the problem. I'm not used to the layout of the review/histogram and I felt clunky after shooting it and getting mixed exposures. After a second shoot this afternoon - I had it down.

Plasticmotif, great shots man! Looks lik eyou are getting the hang of it and that Contax G glass is much lighter than the ZE glass huh?
Yes, yes it is.
Even still, I may just have to keep a 5D2 + ZE 21 for serious landscaping and just carry this guy for everything else. I don't think I'd be let down by that.
I've not used the CV 15 much at all. I need to get a polarizer for it and shoot some identical shots from my 5D2 + ze 21 to judge.
I also am getting a little more use out of the Pentax 110 50mm, better suited for portraits methinks, but nevertheless, a very compact and contrasty lens:
