Philip - love that first image . . . very nice
Luka - good to see you in this forum. Nice comps. I find the same low contrast with the OM-Zuiko 21/2.5. It's sharp, however, so it stays in the NEX bag.
Here's some sunrise shots from this morning . . . you guessed it . . . CV35/1.2 v2 on the 5N
Bob, you should buy another camera for your other lenses. Very, very nice work. By the way, I'm sending you a bill for $1400. You should receive it shortly. Just about the time that I receive my new CV 35/1.2.

I did some heavy PP (for me) on these shots, something which I rarely do. Didn't know if they could be rescued at all, but they turned out great. Just for fun, here is the original of the last pic:

Hmm... may I ask what lens you used for those images?
The Vivitar Series 1 Solid Cat 600 mm f8. As you can see, its not only too heavy to hand hold, its a tad too awkward for a monopod. Tripod test shots will be next.
Great photos on this page! Phillip, really like the one with the rock formation (hoodoo).
I took my NEX out today on my bike, only to find the battery expired. BOO! I have learned - pop in a new battery before every outing. Those batteries don't have enough juice.

They don't last long that's for sure. I think owning a spare battery is pretty much a given to make sure you're good for an entire day.
Still an expired battery is better than driving all the way from Craig, Colorado to Arches National Park near Moab getting out of the car and dropping your camera body with a lens attached. I guess I had a nice walk....
And Uhoh, what do you have against hooves? They're chopped off. What color is that horse, BTW? Looks like a smoky palomino I used to have (he was about chocolate bunny color).
The embarassing thing about being caught with a discharged battery is I have 2 spares - or maybe 3. Just haven't been thinking to throw one in the bike bag. One more thing for the biking gear list!
Ben - glad you had a nice walk without that pesky gear.

+1 to the cudos to Mike and Ben.
@briantho that second shot of your daughter is classic like a 60's album cover
Yeah sometimes i dismember the horses. That's a Percheron my daughter gets to ride one day a week, big mare, Roz, who ran off with her and scraped her off in the arena a few weeks back, with the big girls all looking on OMG. I missed it. For about 3 or four days her mama though she would never ride again, but now's she back.
Phillip
Love the shots you have been sharing, some really great photos taken with the kit lens. I have been on vacation for a week and can't believe all the new pictures. I have said it before, but it is true--the pictures keep getting better and better. Doesn't make it any easier for someone like me waiting for their Nex 7 order to come in.
