looks a bit quirky. i've always been tempted by this lens for my film cameras as i love the focal length and speed. everybody i've talked to that has both always tells me the 28/2 is much better though so i've stuck with that. i keep looking for a 49mm filter thread version of both those lenses though for the NEX.
i owned a MC 28/2.0 only for a short time, but i can't see that it was much better than my MC 35/1.8, and i liked the bokeh less. The MD 28/2.0 is supposed to have great resolution and corner performance.
Both MCs are too big for the NEX i think and i would be interested in 49mm thread versions myself, but they usually sell for more than 200€ which is too much for me.
I was really bummed to find all the sensor dust spots on this shot. I'm blaming it on the push pull CY35-70 I hadn't used for a long time that I had on the camera right before I stuck on my CV12:
Thanks guys. Still learning on the 5N after moving to this from the 5D2. I'm really impressed with the low light performance and colors w/ Zeiss lenses. I'm also liking the pano feature but not sure why I'm getting so much noise when using it. This one with a CV15

Thanks, the water color is from organisms that live in the high salinity of this old salt evaporator. The new Facebook headquarters is just out of the frame on the right.
I applied vignetting tool in RawTherapee to brighten the corners but I don't think it does anything for color shift. This was shot using the original Nex3.
in case there's somebody out there who isn't tired of these yet, here's another stitch of light rays at land's end with the contax g 45. i took 9 of these and have been letting my computer stitch them over nights. once they're all done i'll have to pick which ones are the keepers. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7149/6843142759_1d3a24c440_o.jpg

It's really hard to get tired of those, great image! But how do you batch process photomerge - are you using ACR/Bridge - or is it another software?
no batch processing photomerge, just stick all 20-50 shots for a given stitch into it and go to bed. that's why i'm only getting one stitch a day.

at close distances the 28/2 bokeh is pretty funky (but still pretty good for 28/2), but at longer distances it is actually pretty smooth (i have the MD W version). my favorite closeup bokeh abstracts have been with it. it's very temperamental bokeh wise though.
awesome shot! just needs a little bit of cloning out the dust.

Can't tell you guys how much I apreciate the comments and how much they help--this nex in response to Jacob D and wfrank: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7030/6844660955_0a9edc2acb_b.jpg
I'm just feeling my way in B&W and here I think I have original frame- it's a different shot, but same subject. You guys tell me (edited per sebboh's comments below)
Sebboh, lovely image..a bit OOT, my minolta 50 1.4 has arrived and now is undergoing surgery to F-mount
Wilhem, thanks.. in the first image WB was adjusted to actual condition while I leave as it is in the 2nd (cooler) image.
in your last image, was it a film set? a unique capture you have there and the detail in the small crop is lovely. Does the G 21 becomes problematic sharpness wise when you get to the corners?
Phillip, excellent shots with the 28! This might sound a little embarrassing, how do you put the exif and shooting data on the frame?
