ulrikft2,
I really like the light in your #2 shot. From what i have seen from the Voigt 35 f1.2 looks like it has the potential to be a special lens.

well peter, your shot i think is going to make me cancel my nex-7 order for the second time

Since I rarely print, and am happy with the 5n interface, I see utterly no reason to get a nex-7 (except as a backup).

Not that there aren't any nice pics in here fron the n7--there are for sure. But glass far far outweighs any difference in the sensors that I can see.

I was thinking the n7 really would have a distinct signature, m9ish, but I just don't see it.

However, I'm often wrong, hehe, so please, if somebody can see something to the contrary, please point it out

Peter, is that the original 35 Lux, or the ASPH?

I hate how much I love the Leica images, dammit. It's probably a good thing that I'm out of $$ in the camera stash.

If only I had a dollar for every time I've said that.

Andrew, that last one is very nice (the horizon looks just slightly tilted tho). Where is this at?

Just wondering if anyone has any examples of sports or fast action photos? I'll seriously consider getting an NEX if it can handle speedy subjects.

Thanks guys, yeah, corrected now.
It's in San Diego.

Be careful with Leica glass, from my research only a few have that look.
Many have a so-called Leica look, which I'm not a big fan of. Macro 60R and 50R f2
are different in my opinion, a combination of interesting colors and a more Zeiss like
rendering. Not as dramatic as Zeiss, but towards that direction
Leica R 28 f2.8 ver2 is a different story, this lens is in its own league,
nothing looks and renders like that. Absolutely incredible IMO.
I often now take both Leica 28 and my Contax 35 f1.4 on a trip, this combo
has a completely different use. Contax wide open is hard to beat, (CA does bother me).
If I want a moody picture wide open, I will shoot it with Contax.
Everything else - Leica.

Ok, but at almost 2k,used as in...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Leica-28mm-2-8-Elmarit-R-Lens-28-f2-8-ROM-/370570136860?pt=Camera_Lenses&hash=item5647b38d1c

Is it that much better (whatever better means...) then a Zeiss ZE or ZM?

Those look like La Jolla cove, by look of the rocks. I have very similar shots from January 2010 somewhere on my hdd--lovely light and a great job capturing it!

jacob may be too modest to mention, but he has a very slik article up today on the nex and backpacking

http://hikeitlikeit.com/2012/photography-and-backpacking-8/

that just might get him on the nex-9 beta list

Yes it is. It's as good (but different) as Zeiss 21. It has a distinctive "large format" look.
