I think it comes down to this: NEX 5n with good lenses doesn't give you the same image quality as the 5d2 (or other FF DSLR) with good lenses. But it gives very good images. And it's much easier to carry around. Looks like NEX 7 won't give better images then the 5n, just more pixels, ergonomics appart.
So depending on your use, it may be worth keeping one system, the other, or both...

Nice shots. And the 21/2 looks great. Are you liking the camera so far?
Thanks Brad - yes, really liking the NEX with the OM glass. I am finally getting a good hit rate with the OM 50 1.2 at 1.2 (handheld). My eyes can't manage that with my 5D2. The NEX has that fun factor that I missed with the 5D2.
Information overload !!! I have decided on a 5n body only but looking for my best choice in lens for $500 or below including adapted price if it needs adapting.
Optically I want better than the kit lenses, which so far I have not been impressed with.
So any suggestions on something in the 16 to 55 range that would fit that bill ? No necessarily limited to that range.

I'd also go for a 28, good walk-around normalish choice. If you want small the Carl Zeiss Contax G 28/2.8 is hard to match in both size and IQ. You'd need to focus with an adapter ring - which some find difficult. I dont, but a "real" ring is easier and what we all are used to. A cheap chinese adapter is what I used for the 28 and got so hooked so I now have a very capable trio of G's; 28, 45 & 90.
Cool - I snagged a 24mm F1.8 ZA on Amazon when one popped up today. Is there enough interest in this new lens to start a thread for it? I'd like to see the samples from it in one thread rather than digging through this monster thread.
Ice and Sage - not sure if I should have went for deeper DOF, was trying to make the icy sage tops in the FG stand out. Should have bracketed my f stops. OM 50 1.2, at f/4

Shots from the ZA 24 just started showing up a couple of weeks ago. If you just go back about 20 pages in this thread, I think you'll see every ZA 24 shot that has been posted here (there aren't that many).

Yeah, I was looking for some that had been posted elsewhere - maybe in the NEX wides thread or somewhere in the NEX time continuum.
