Just amount 24 1.4 on DX, you've got 35 1.4 right there. No, I am wrong?
From another thread: epuja wrote:
The biggest advantage of FF (or larger formats) is the reduced depth of field
My personal opinion is this is also the biggest drawback of crop sensors (increased DOF), for the same aperture.
So it's close, but not quite.. i had the 24G and a D90, but i just prefer shooting on my D700...
What you quote from another thread is a misconception. DOF at a given f/stop for a FX lens doesn't change on DX because what changes is the angle of view only.

Where is everyone getting their 35 f1.4's at?? I've had mine on pre-order with Amazon since October and still no estimated delivery date!
I ordered one from crutchfield and got it a week later.

Just got one from J&R, gave up on Adorama in December for a preorder in October
I'd give Robert's a try. I pre-ordered, but ended up picking one up locally. Robert's emailed me about a week after I did the pre-order. That was about 3 weeks ago.

Initially I thought I would get 35 1.4 right away. After a few test shots in dim environment, I changed my mind. I will get 28 1.4D instead.
that's an interesting choice - what about the 28 1.4D do you believe makes it better for dim lighting?
