In the first few days of December it seems as though every small camera shop got just one or two of these lenses. I made a few calls on the 4th and had mine held at a shop an hour away. I don't know what's been going on lately, but call around to some smaller local shops.
I ordered one while it still said they were in stock. It says my order is "Pending." Anyone know what that means?
Same here. They also aren't picking up the phone when I call on both the local and toll free lines, nor are they answering emails. Is this really a legit company?
Atlanta has been experiencing snow/ice storm since Monday. As the result, nearly all schools have been closed, UPS has suspected all their deliveries and many biz have remained to be closed. Showcase is a very reputable local store and the biggest one in ATL.

Europe is much more relaxed than US. Authorities do their job, but don't try to dominate all parts of life with national security concerns and policies.
Showcase update (for those interested): I spoke with Showcase this morning. They just reopened after being closed for the past few days due to inclement weather. They had two 35Gs in stock when I spoke to them. They said they were working to process the orders they received while closed. My order status now says complete.
