Wow - I know photography/portraits are very subjective...but in my books that's about as good as natural light portraits gets. Lovely bokeh with no hot spots! Dave
Guys,
I'm really amazed at the quality of images that you got with this lens. The appearance is similar to those of Carl Zeiss, awesome! Although I have just purchased a CZ Distagon 35mm 1.4, I'll wait for the new release from Samyang. I'm really surprised. And of course, besides the optical lens quality, congratulations for the work you all, very high level. See you!
The image of the man smoking is great. Love how the smoke catches the light. Also really enjoy the next image of the couple sharing a moment. Well caught.
After seeing these postings, I couldn't take it any longer...I have an 85mm/1.4 being shipped to me this week. I have the 14mm/2.8 and it is sharp/contrasty, so this purchase was in the cards for a bit.
Thanks to all for the great images that have been shared on this thread.
Just bought the lens and camera to go with it (5D) two days ago. Not much chance to play with it yet, but a couple of quick snaps (with about 30 secs PP between them). The first was taken while checking out the camera and lens before buying. Its probably what sold the package to me
finally picked up one of these for myself. perfectly timed some ducks arrived at the pond in front of my office tonight so i got some traditional style test shots.
