Perhaps continuing on the cheapie lens theme. My 135/3.5 Q-Auto cost ~$50 making it by far the cheapest of all my lenses. That makes it much more enjoyable.
A small village at the north west of the island, but it has a massive church, that has an interesting feature in it's clocks
You will notice (I hope) that the clocks are set to different times, as are all church clocks where there are more than one on the building ...... this is to confuse the devil, so that he doesn't come at the right time for mass !!
When done with the church, the old guys in the village repair to the local bar .... why not .... it's a religion all of it's own.
just up the alleyway to the right of the church is the artisan baker .... Maltese bread is wonderful, tough crust to bite through, but the bread inside os so soft and really edible.
Over the road from the church, you can get fuel of a different kind ..... a street petrol station ....

I will have to credit my wife for her extensive research before the trip. She knew of 2 or 3 (cheap) places to stay where their roof top restaurants had views of the Taj.
Of course we were booking our accommodation as we went so a bit of pot luck but they had rooms.

Andy, quite a view of Taj Mahal! I have not come across that perspective before.
Steve, keep on posting more of Malta!
Jay, where is that spot with the steps?
Robert, welcome and nice scenes!
Colin, shiny ride for your son! Let's see some more vacation pics.
Nikkor-S 55mm f/1.2 on D810 here - it wasn't cheap like the 50mm f/2.0 above, while every time I use it I realize that using it at the fast aperture I bought it for is really not that great. I like for the special effect of the shallow focal plane at short range, but it is very difficult to focus wide open- impossible on a DSLR through the viewfinder, but that's not going to make me buy a trendy Z body. I'll just get a better f/1.2 or f/1.4 lens one of these days. In the meantime, there's use for it at f/2.8 for example:
