Question for George, or anyone else who may be in the know. Is there an adapter for the S-mount lenses also? The Fotasy LTM-Z adapter seems to do okay but doesn't quite get to the close focus point of the 5cm Nikkor.

Not that I have seen Samy. I have never tried a direct LTM to Z adapter. I go to M mount first then to the adapted body, be it Z, Fuji X or Leica M.
I have had tolerance issues with the less expensive adapters though. Have had good luck with Kipon, Metabones, Fotodiox Pro, and Novaflex.
Edit: there are some Nikon S to Leica M adapters. Then you go Leica M to Nikon Z
I topped and tailed the journey through France with a visit to thee Canadian War Memorial at Vimy Ridge in Northern France.
Site of WW1 atrocities .....
They have reconstructed the trenches, and left the gound pockmarked with shell craters and collapsed trenches.
The young Canadian guides there are informed and informative. It is actually quite a site to visit. With lots of history to glean if you are interested in war.
Some horrific things went on on these WW1 sites and the killing was for the time unprecedented and IMHO futile.
These pix are from my return visit heading home. And unlike the earlier ons in the AF thread are taken on MF 28mm lens
I have antiqued a couple, to give a feel for the pix of that era. (post done in ON1)
If you see trees in a picture ..... they were not there 100 years ago, France took it upon themselves to repatriate the land very soon after the Great War.

Doug thanks no that's for the F-mount, and the Z6 already came with the Nikon FTZ. I was looking for an adapter for the older Nikon S-mount RF lenses. Looks like George's solution of combining with the M-mount adapter will work.
But I have to go find how to do the focus peaking first in the manual

Samy, here is my adapter combo for getting the Nikon S mount lenses on the Z.
First image right to left... S mount 3.5cm/2.5 lens > Nikon S to Leica M Amedeo adapter > Leica M to Nikon Z adapter. All work great and good tight fit. The S to M adapter even has a focus helicoid for internal mount 5cm lens.

I am getting ready to accidentally get into a 4x5 Large Format system, but will start out with a 120 film back then work up to 4x5 film.
But I guess you could say Leighton actually started it! It was HIS market, and he bought the 55/1.2 first
George
George as I see it Samy, Leighton and I at the first meeting in Staunton each walked away coveting each others gear but not one of us were in any hurry to go out to buy something. After your visit Leighton got a lens and Samy got a camera. You should be ashamed of yourself. Apologize to them!

While I had my stuff out to show Samy the Nikon S adapter I used, I thought I would post a shot that shows the possibilities of adapting Nikkor lenses to the Z. I guess the only other possibility would be the Bronica mount Nikkor medium format lenses but I am not aware of an adapter for those, but would also imagine that they would be quite heavy in this scenario.
So below 50mm examples, left to right:
Native Z mount 50mm/1.8
50mm/1.4 non-Ai F mount on the FTZ adapter
5cm/1.4 LTM on M to Z adapter
5cm/1.4 internal mount S on the S to M then to Z adapter
As you can see the older rangefinder lenses are a pretty compact package.
