What delight to get together with photographers you've gotten to know on this thread. I know every visit I've had over the years with folks I've met here has been pure pleasure, beginning with my trip to Florida in 2012. Alas, this is a big country and traveling 3000 miles for a weekend get together simply isn't in my budget. But I love the photos and hope to see more. I'm content to wait for what you've captured Samy. WHAT a camera! You are a brave man wandering into this territory.
Thanks again for the photos. MORE would definitely be welcome. I remember the times when this was a Nikon only thread, and now we're getting a little bit of everything... with Nikon manual focus lenses of course. I must be getting old...

Great image of the three of you - who took it?
You guys in Staunton can't have all the fun though.
Loch Katrine from the top of Ben A'an.
I was up there on my own when this young couple arrived to provide some perspective.
Thanks Chris, Reagan and Ken B. It was a beautiful evening.
Mother nature and the amazing light that Scotland has to offer. All I had to do was add a polarizer and fire off a few bracketed shots. For these 2 shots I used the underexposed frames.

It's much more interesting now that all cameras are accepted as long as there is a Nikon MF mounted.
Those little Nikkor lenses in the Leica mounts that George had has really peaked my interest. They are so tiny and well built, a joy to use. In fact, George let me try one (as well as his Noct), what a joy to use. Samy also had some of the same lenses, only in the Nikon S mount. I think that's right. Samy, tell me if I'm wrong.
The first one was taken with George's Nikkor 50mm Leica mount. Some of you might recognize this guy. He was our neighbor until he and his wife moved to town.
The one I brought yesterday was the S-mount 10.5cm f4 with a Nikon S. Well I have a couple of the Leica mount Nikkors too Leighton, just to confuse you more Found the Staunton train station pic from two years ago, it happens to be with one of those Leica Nikkors:

Nice, I have one from the same spot on the same day.
Those old lenses do confuse me a bit. I looked on ebay at some this morning. The ones in good shape are quite expensive.
Leighton - prices have gotten crazy the last couple years with the mirrorless boom. But there are still some good deals to be found and eBay is typically not the place for finding the deals.
All the old glass is marked in cm vs mm. So 3.5cm for 35mm, 5cm for 50mm etc...
You were shooting with the 5cm f/2 lens yesterday and they are less expensive than the f/1.4 and frankly I like the f/2 better. The little jewel I had mounted on the Leica was the f/3.5 version of the 5cm.
As you saw the 3.5cm lenses are even smaller.
Since you would be using them on your Fuji, the 5cm would = 75mm and the 3.5cm would = 52.5mm
Plus they are very easy to CLA.
If you let me know which focal length you are interested in, I can do some hunting for you in my local grounds

Ben, over on Flickr asked me if you were rocking a Leica. I told him yes and that it gave me an itch. But I'm a few years away from that experience. Maybe I'll start a GoFundMe.
