Finally getting what I came back for... Leighton's market shots and Rafael's car shots. Loving them all... and then Ken chimes in with that set which include a chartreuse Ford convertible. That colors stuns!
And then we get frosting on the cake with tulip photos from the Netherlands AND from Washington. Loving those as well. Jay is entertaining us with some very fine close work of flowers, stacking the images. I've never done that for the simple reason I don't shoot with a tripod, not even the one Kevin gave me as a gift. I'm a slow learner...
Thanks everyone for the images, even the ones in black and white. The possibilities are endless. Wish I'd had my camera this afternoon when the rattlesnake coiled itself when I passed it on the trail... But I was moving too fast to get a shot even if I'd had my camera with me...

Raphael you have me inspired, but I have one question! I can clearly see your C3 but it's not showing up on my radar!!!
Also Capitan why does your exif show 92mm? Are you playing with settings for better effect?
From a recent car show!
Ken, love the '49/'50 Ford - my dad had one and someone reversed a truck into the fender before he could get it home to show us! We had a two door coupe. Previously the 1st car I can remember was a Ford Prefect (like the little Anglia but with 4 doors). That was followed by a '46 Ford. The last American styled -SA built - Ford was a '54 which was followed by an English styled , SA built, Zephyr 6.

Raphael, My joke sort of fell flat. I was referencing the DDG1000. The 70 in my exif is the setting I use for the MF 35-70.
I noticed Slowcaptains setting at 92
I knew that Ken. The pilot house of the Zumwalt is composite like the Vette. I was playing you along. Remember though I love the service I am just a (gasp) civilian! Nerdy engineer at that.

But I know how to install radar absorbing tile in case your Vette needs some.

Nothing wrong with that! If you send the tiles and instructions I'll pay the postage
I can suggest you read the book "The Bridge at Dong Ha." It's about two Naval Academy graduates who were classmates. Both graduating as engineers and entering the Navy and the Marine Corps. The former, Navy, served as a a civil engineer built that bridge. The latter a Marine serving as "I think" a Battalion Commander blew it up! A true story!
