Took a little drive around the block this morning. I hate to see old barns fall down like this due to neglect. Fuji X-T2 and 50-135mm.
I agree. It is a disturbing trend. The barn I shot last week is headed in that direction. My sister and her husband tried to buy the land years ago, but the owner would not sell. It is just wasting away.

I haven't used it since I got back and I can see and here my XT2 pouting
Bought my wife a Fuji XF10 for her trip and have been trying to teach her to use it
(not an easy task)

I'm not Jose, but I think that's a Mallard duck.
I used to hunt deer and wild pigs, rabbits and doves, never ducks, too wet. After some web search, these are two mallard males traveling together, they are sleeping every night in the wood deck. They stopped here on the way south, now back on their way north. We have a lake within a mile with plenty grass, I guess it is safer and warmer here.

Rafael, lovely Carlsbad flower scenes! And the Cruisin scenes with the Z/10.5 LTM too! And wow, just came across the falcon with the 800 5.6.
Reagan, now that you are back all relaxed from the fun cruise, are you selling your Z?
Steve, good to see you back on here!
Luka, enjoying your continuing NYC series.
Kristian, great light movement from the Malmo shadows.
Buddy, good to hear you and your family are doing well! Keep on posting, photos or not.
Thank you Samy, my photography shillie-shallies but never leaves.
Like Leighton I suppose it is a male Mallard and the hawk I am not sure, my Audubon guide for North America is lost and I suppose this species do not occur here in South America, sorry.
About focusing with the 800, have you tried the minimum amount of peaking? My experiments revealed the medium or high level of peaking in the EVF can be very misleading to judge the right focus, since they deliver a more wide depth of focus. Of course the low level of peaking only is visible with a minimum amount of contrast in the scene, on the contrary, as for example cloudy days, we need to activate medium level of peaking to get any peaking visible....Show more →
Jose, Thanks for the peaking advice, will try lower levels of peaking highlights.
Reagan – just jesting in that last post. When I hand a camera to my wife she wants AF and everything on auto. Pity because she has a far better eye for a shot than I do and is also prepared to stick a lens in someone’s face to get a candid (something I cannot do)
Curtis – thanks for the kind comment. We have missed your floral photos. MORE PLEASE!!!
Luka – I continue to enjoy your depictions of NYC life in motion.
Steve – every time I drive past a distillery I think of your photos. Weird since we have only met once over a coffee.
George – I hope the sacrificial T-max roll yields some keepers with your new camera (In your hands of course it will!)
Leighton – your produce shots are super. Good enough for any food publication.
Kristian – great news about the lens and good to see more images from Sweden.
Rafael – as others have said – CA lighting captured in a glorious way.
Ken – Adaptor for free? Presumably bundled for free with a Z.
Ha! That's part of the challenge, you need to think extra before even loading the camera. And then after all the thinking, the light changes Good luck and I am sure it will come out great.
Chuong, the Df and 105 2.5 PC are perfect for tulips!
Jose, amazing detail, in the picture and in the painting. Interesting to imagine what it was like in the middle of that battle.
Leighton, too bad about the barn being abandoned but it does make for a very interesting scene.
Okay I had to look up shilly shallie. Well that's me right now. Film in the fridge and the freezer is getting restless while I shilly shallie. Did recently send out some 120 rolls that I did a couple weeks ago.

Thanks for the welcome back and the comments on my shots
Reagan love what you´ve shared from the cruise lately. I´ve been to the Caribean very shortly only, but I loved it!
Rafael, love those old car shots!!
Luka, great 105mm shots NY, still a city I need to visit..
Leighton, nice market shots. Guessing the farmers season is really busy by now! I´m growing a lot of pepper plants in the kitchen right now. Will put them in a green house as soon as we have prepared the soil with fertilizer and so on...
Choung, nice tulip shots. Guessing the Df and the PC105/2.5 is a beautiful combo
Brought the 50-135mm f/3.5 ais for a short walk to the supermarket. Did not take many shots and only one keeper.

I had to look it up as well. Now I have to use shilly shally at least once in my program management team meeting this week

Here is the link to Nikons website. Good until April 26th. No excuse for Curtis now!

Except for a little thing called money.
Leighton I understand completely but years ago when getting started in digital I thought it was way too expensive. Then I thought about the $.20-.25 cents a print or slide processing in addition to the cost of film I’d never have to pay again made it a no-brainer.
Curtis has been bitten by the bug so it’s the least we could do! 😁😁😁📸📸📸
Mallard duck, male of the species. The females are brownish

There is these two ducks that have made a home of my pool. I know little of birds, hopefully Jose is around and can tell me if these are two males or a pair, they look identical. They were here on their way south last year, now they are back, they used to sleep here and leave, now they hang around much longer and do not mind much when we are out and about in the yard. There is this peregrine falcon/buzzard (Jose?) that mock attacks them every so often, but it seems to small to eat them.
800mm 5.6, Nikon only on Nikon. Even on the Z6 is hard for my old eyes to nail the focus with this lens, on the DSLRs is neigh impossible.
I´ve mostly been lurking in the shadows, havent really had time to participate much, I´havent taken a lot of photos either...Even though I´ve been following and hiting the like button a lot. Always a pleasure!!
And guess what?? I found my 50-135mm f/3.5 ais. Yes!! I thought it was gone forever but my o.h. found it in a backpack we havent used since christmas.....
Perhaps this little find will take me back to some more photography. I´ve got a few old shots to share though!
Finally a digital post. And finally a cat on the thread again. Df and 135 2.8 Q lens. I just like the warmth of the tungsten light, not about to hit auto color correction in PSE.

Thats why I bought her the XF10
No 4 way pad on the back a touch screen that I have turned off
Nothing but a shutter button and Auto mode
When she is done it works in all modes with a 24mp and a DX sensor in a pocket camera
