Commenting that I renewed my Buy & Sell toay as it expired. I see that the rate has more than doubled to $59.00. This thread is worth the money to me but ........
Three from around Brooklyn with the S5 Pro and 28/2.8 AIs. The optical view finder is a heck of a lot gentler on the eyeballs specially on bright sunny days.
This chap's coat is either heavily starched or there is an open umbrella in his back pocket. Must be the new caped crusader look that's all the rage.
Ladies enjoying the late afternoon Brooklyn skyline view:

Ouch that is a lot of money. I disabled my auto-renew, I can't seem to find where the regular buy & sell cost is, instead of the Buy & Sell plus; is there a difference?. I want to support the site, but $59 seems steep.

I payoff 2 years at a time and it gives a big discount
but could you imagine this web site going away
I would probably lose contact with more than a dozen people I stay in regular contact with
Just pay up you spend that much going out for one dinner
Not directed at you Ray just general comment on the cost of entertainment which I get a lot of out of this site
I will belong not matter what it cost as long as Fred keeps it going
Thanks to you Fred

I feel the same way about this site, that is why I paid. The two year option was for $99.00. I didn’t opt for that because last year saw 6000 pages culled from the thread. I want to see how we are treated this year.
My recollection is that the buy & sell fee is double what I paid last year. That’s my complaint!

Wish I could find where the “automatic renew” tick box is so I can turn it off.
I had to do some digging but found it. It won't show until your membership is expired or if you don't have a current membership. I'm pretty sure I didn't pay this much when I renewed, and I don't recall any announcement that the cost was going up.
You can turn off auto-renew when you renew your membership, or click the "My Membership" above and disable it there, IIRR. I think that's only a paypal thing.

I joined last year and I believe it was about $35. I just got the renewal and I am really on the fence. All this stuff really adds up. We are being subscription serviced to death these days. I would like to see an explanation for such a large increase.
I remember being disappointed when I signed up. A big part of the reason I did was to make it easier to post images, the idea that I could just pull them from my hard drive and the website would resize them and post them here without any screwing around. I was surprised when I learned not only did the site not optimize the size, there was a severe file size restriction that required me to essentially create a file strictly for posting here. That was not stated in the teaser to get you to sign up.
Andy what a photo journey you've been on. Very envious! Thanks for all the terrific shots.
Jay remarkable shot from the D3
Scott, I commented on the lighthouse already and have to comment again. Absolutely terrific!
Reagan it was 85 here yesterday ….
Here is an older shot that salutes the Daytona 500. It's Dale Earnhardt's Sr's car from long ago. If you didn't see the race it was dull until the last twenty or so laps when twenty four cars piled up at speeds of 200 MPH. No one was hurt which is a testament to NASCAR safety protocols. It wasn't one of their best days!

No offence taken, Reagan. Nothing against the site, the price increase took me by surprise, my last renewal was around $25, so the price has more than doubled. I think Fred has created a neat space here, but as this is another cost in the face of many costs, it's fair game for me to think about what it's worth to me. If enough people are willing to pay the fees, then all the better for Fred, no hard feelings.

If you click the "My Membership" option at the top of the page, you'll see a "Stop auto renew" option. It just takes you to Paypal where you can login and disable preauthorized charges.

I watched Daytona yesterday. First race I have watched in a couple years. Hard to watch now. I grew up with the Saturday night short tracks of South Boston Va and Orange Co NC when the Grand National guys would come. Once they shut down North Wilkesboro and Rockingham NC, putting the emphasis on the super speedways and after Dale Sr's accident, I sort of lost interest. But I do agree, that is some amazing safety engineering in both car and track to prevent injuries.
