Haven't had much chance to shoot with 55mm I bought from Jack a while ago so tried this today. Right off the bat, the lens is super sharp. The 50 isn't exactly in focus but the Noct is and detailing around focus distance markers blew me away (out of camera shot except for the slight crop)
How about a black and white winter sunset to contrast Reagan's colorful Florida winter?
Back to the Nikkor-Q·C 5cm f/3.5 Leica Thread Mount. I really like the black and white rendering from this 65 year old lens. Shot at f/8 using the Leica M Typ 262
I know that this will sound like a broken record kind of thing, but I am still reading along with interest, and enjoying the photography in this thread.
I am also still without a camera.
Since my last post, things have taken a few unexpected turns. The ranch, where we were quite happy to live, turned out to be a nightmare. After living there for 2,5 years, things rapidly declined. Not only the material stuff, but also the connection we had to the ranch owners.
Final word is still out, but a few days before Christmas we received notice stating that our rental agreement was terminated as of immediate...
I just started a new job at that time, raising family income to a more sustainable level. Being homeless all of a sudden did not really fit into my plans at that time.
We spent 2 months desperately searching for a new home, and I think that we have now found a solution. I talked to a real estate agent yesterday, and he will prepare and send me a purchase contract for a house. We will soon have a home of our own.
Ok, soon is a bit optimistic. We still have to endure until May, but we now at least have a timeframe to focus on. Still a lot to do until then. The real estate needs (and does not have) a small garden fence around it, which I need to build. Some modifications (addition of a large room in the attic, to place all our animal enclosures, and building a solid stairs to the attic) are also required. But that at least is work I can dig in to, to get my mind off the troubles we had up to finding this solution.
In the meanwhile, Flickr executed their evil scheme to aggrevate photographers worldwide. For now, I can work my way around that splitting uploads between the 3 accounts I have, so I might be able to upload some more up-to-date photos and post them here

Buddy, all the best with getting things sorted out!
Joey, very nice gift for the wifey!
Well we can depend on Reagan to spend the winter months taunting us with the warm pictures out of Florida. George, great idea to post a cold black and white scene for contrast I may find one later today to post here too.

Dang man, that sounds rough. Good to hear from you and that things are at least looking to get better over the next months. I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything works out with your house and also the new job turns out to be the right thing!
More from Scotland - this time a night panorama. We were driving back to our B&B (still in the Skye region) around 22:30 when that eerie light caught my attention. Shot with the 50mm f/1.2 AI-S.
