Z7 + FTZ + Reflex-Nikkor 500mm f/8N + tripod, ISO 500 (left & right) or 1600 (centre) at 1/60s (left & right) or 1/200s (centre). Images ~35% cropped (16/45MP). Note the feather moulting in the head.
The reflex/mirror teles, always difficult to focus due to the dark image at viewfinder, are now a pleasure to use - and the focus peaking looks like better than Sony's A7Rii.

Serge and Samy, nice takes of the Washington Monument. Nice sky color Serge.
Thanks, mp356. Fortunate that my timing was good for a change.

Serge, you took that photo standing about a 1000 feet to the west of where I was, That light is marvelous, glad you caught it.
saph, here is one from approximately the same distance as yours, just different FOV. I took several at various distances and had to move quickly as the sun was setting fast. Each photo had different lighting which was good for variety.
José, love the bird shots. Everyone is now talking about the Z6 and the Z7 and also on how good it is to use with MF-Nikkors...I think I´m gonna have to get one, but that´ll have to be when the prices are a bit better..
Serge, really nice sky/light in your previous shots!
Jay, cool contrast between the pijk window and the blue heaven. Well seen.

Nice Rafael. I really like the last one. I am thrilled about how much detail you got in that shot, really good resolution. What aperture did you use?
Aperture was 1.4 Kristian, the Z6 allowed me critical focus and the 35mm 1.4 are very sharp at 1.4. They can flare and handle points of light poorly but can produce a great shot at 1.4 under the right light. I have the four 35mm 1.4 in the photo and the sharpest is one of the Thorium lenses that I bought in like new condition, the one on the left. T he Chicano photos are wth 366600, a lens I disassembled for cleaning, then got the iris calibration wrong, but with the Z6 it does not matter. The 608xxx is the very last series and not as sharp as the oldest.

The focusing peaking sure is tempting, especially with the reflex lenses.

Since it´s a bit slow I´ll share another one. Took this from a café on the second floor.

You nicely captured the mood, Kristian!
All best wishes for your new job and in finding the Leighton Lens.
I am also looking for someone in Sweden/EU who can service MF lenses: Let me know when you find someone.
