Specifically to see the new Victoria & Albert or V&A museum
The main one is in London and full of fabulous design stuff
The one in Dundee Scotland is fabulous on the outside. The architecture is IMHO brilliant, and exciting
But the inside is just a big space with gift shop and cafe. Two exhibitions - one on Ocean Liners probably built in Dundee - cost £12 per person to get in, the other looks to be free, but had a two hour queue, so decided not to bother. To say I was disappointed would be about right.
But, I cannot fault the exterior.
Plus it is right next to the RRS Discovery on which Scott travelled on those voyages to the Antarctic in 1901 etc
So here are some views of the V&A from outside

A great walkway round the outside, with excellent views of the river

What a great vision

Excellent. You beat me to it! I did visit Dundee this spring but only to take my dad to the dental hospital. Architecture looks great. Well captured Steve.

Ok - this is getting weird. I was brought up in the brown stone house beyond the whitewashed cottage. You can just catch the edge of the building.

You nailed it.
The poor old building looks a bit worse for wear these days. My parents moved half a mile across the river about 40 years ago whilst I moved 450 miles south to find employment and start my career. This building is where I spent my 'informative' years. Fun times.
The village has changed a lot. The shop next to the pedestrian on the right hand pavement used to be the bicycle shop, followed by the confectioners, the bakers, the fishmongers, a shoe shop and then a grocers. Everything on your doorstep. The gap in the street is where the gas station and car workshop used to be. You would recognize it as the small parking area with some seats.
Those hills in the background might get a covering of snow this weekend.
Cheers,
Colin (looking over his shoulder to make sure he isn't being followed)

Nice character and its window reflection. But for the second picture... I am completely in awe... like „ave Philippe, muritori te salutant!”
Thumb-up for you Mihai.
Vale atque salve !

You can archive this under category selfie, but it really is a group shot of our experienced 2018 hiking team taking a well deserved break on one of the major Sierra passes. I am the guy on the left.
